hmmph an tester

yeah, but you get the greatest charechter of all! the Sorceress!

fire wall, thunderstorm, frozen orb (that ones too comon, i rarely use it) come on! it's hillarious!

besides. you get to help out newbies, and they think of you like a god LOL! i seriously had four people following my 44 sorc andother chars around like i was an idol.

maybe it was because i saved them from certain doom.

i have BG2 as well. HATE the spell system, but yes Crysede, i know. if i paused the game it would be no prob

Dungeon Siege = Diablo II meets Baldur's Gate II

Very...very nice game, microsoft published a quality program *coughforoncecough*. Seriously though, the graphics are awesome, the quests are nice (though linear, take it or leave it...easy to go off and do some other things, but still alot of do this to do that to...blah blah, no random dungeons), and I love being able to manage my party like the game let me. I seriously can't play the multi-player because I loved the group-feeling of single player with 7 chacters + pack mule :)

It just came out a while ago, got it a week before public release

Great interface with nice camera angles (select character to focus in on that area, then zoom in/out, can be a bother for some things or in middle of huge combat) and you only drink as much of healing potion as takes to bring to full life.

i can't figure out how to drink the potions LOL but it's not really a problem.... i'm kicking so much ass i haven't needed one. not once!

Testing

*holds the jar with Khadgar's kiss trapped inside*

I need this tested. Is this the right place ??

Anyone ??

*laughs* cold! thats cold! i can take that back if you want? but no one seems to be ehre, so only you would test it i suppose

Dungeon Siege

I beat the game before it's official release...you do need healing potions at later levels, but I don't think I used them (or even kept many, started just dropping them about, which I later regretted as I had to go buy almost a full pack mule more of them (3 character inventories = pack mule inventory). I was up to 4 characters I think before I used my first healing potion (just have one on character (in inventory) and hit h key (when at half-health or below in combat, or if not in combat, anytime).

Anyhow, the graphics on that game are awesome...I have 2 fighters, 3 archers, 2 mages (I could never advance mages fast enough to keep up with mercs I could buy at certain points, too bad...prolly cause I used them mainly for healing...that low level healing wind spell for nature magic is the best spell in the game :p ...for like 27 mana I could heal like 200 hp compared with 81 mana for a mere 100hp with the combat magic [which was high level too]) and a pack mule. Just looking at the magic coming off my fighter and mage weapons/items was awesome.

Very, very nice game...loved it. My first death (of any of my characters) occured very near the end on the Ancient Dragon (omg, that thing had nearly 50,000 hit points...each of my fighters only had like 7-800 hp...mage and archers all died (other mage + pack mule just ran away so he could ressurect). Fighters beat, quaffed healing, fought...did that for about 3 minutes continuously until one ran out of healing potions then made mage come back over and start healing from just outside the dragon's fire-breath range while dwarven fighter kept beating away. (lost 5 characters, thank god for ressurect. What a pain to reorganize eq though).

LOL my personal char is a mage. i balance combat and nature. can kill pretty much anything in 1 or 2 hits. i have 2 mages 1 archer and 1 meelee. my mages to 80% of the killing. they are powerful!

Just wait til later...things stop being affected by magic/archers...how far have you gotten?

um.... i get the full game somethign like tomorrow or the day after, but i;ve beaten the ten % demo

Yea...my archers could masacre pretty much anything for a while there...had actually made my entire party into a roving band of archers. Eventually, however, I found it necessary to use fighters as well...although I knew they'd be hurt more which I didn't like and led to my mages becoming healers mostly (thought the last mage I picked up had 47 combat magic by end and showed it :) ).
