Okay... I feel like I've gotten caught in the middle of something here, so I had to go and do some research... I think I'm pretty well up to speed, so I have some things I'd like to say to everyone involved. First, though, I want to repeat myself. When I initally posted here, it was in respose to a comment made by NightBird. I've since seen a couple of other comments by him, directed to the same people. If anyone's interested, which is questionable, this is my take on things. Please, read this all the way through before anyone gets upset with me, okay? Three messages here...

For the newbies, and you know who you are:

On one hand, yes, this is the Internet, and it's supposed to all be in fun, etc., etc., etc. That doesn't give you a license to just toss off nasty remarks, telling people to just chill, etc. The thing to keep in mind is that there really *IS* another person at the other end of that Internet connection. But that goes both ways. When someone fires off an insult to you, why can *you* take it personally, but they *can't*? All I'm trying to say here is to remember that there's a thing called "netiquette." Google it. It will tell you a lot. Don't take everything personally here... Sometimes, what one person finds to be a mildly humorous comment to you, you may see as a terrible insult. That's not always the case, when you try to consider their intentions. That being said...

For the non-newbies, not including NightBird:

Remember, these guys are new here. They're still learning how things are in this place. Lit's a great place to be, but until you get familiar with it, it can be kind of weird, remember? *REMEMBER*??? I know I sure as hell do. There seems to have been a real clash of personalities here. That happens. But I remind you - you're not the newbie. And some of the comments made were, to me, way above anything that was called for. This kind of stuff can be shut down in heartbeat, and you guys know it. And you know how to do it appropriately, too. Some of the post exchanges I saw were anything but appropriate. Yeah, yeah - this is the Internet, get over it, right? That's not what the Playground is supposed to be about, and you guys know that! *You* could have taken it into PM mode, and settled things. You're the ones who are supposed to know how to handle this kind of situation. IMHO, you'll forgive me for this, but the newbies acted the way they should be expected to, until they've been here for a while. You guys didn't...

And finally, I come to NightBird:

You, my friend, need some major attitude adjustment. You are a piece of shit of the highest, {Or should I say lowest?} order. I don't know what your problem is with these two. If you've seen me around the Playground, then you know that for the most part, I'm fairly well respected. And you hopefully also know that I don't suffer assholes treating my friends the way that you've treated these two. And I *do* consider them to be friends - members of my pack, so to speak. You'd do well to remember that. They might be newbies whom you seem to have chosen as being vulnerable to attack. I'm anything *but* a newbie, my friend. If you'd like to match wits, then bring it on. But please, could you do all of us one favor before you do bring it? Would you please, please, go back, spend a little time, learn some things, and grow up. It's no fun trying to match wits in a flame war with man who doesn't have two working brain cells to rub together - he has nothing to wage battle with, you know? My final comment to you would be this: I suspect that you calling RainDove25 a slut has nothing to do with your opinion of her, and everything to do with the fact that she wouldn't come near you with a ten-thousand foot pole. Frustrating when a woman like her won't give you the time of day, isn't it?

Your absolutely wrong in thinking that I am unintelligent or uneducated, what I am however is a person who has no tolerance and at times a bad temper.

If I'd let my brain instead of my emotions control my thoughts I would have recognized that the two people in question were merely newbies to Lit who didn't understand what they were saying or doing. I also suspect that they are very young, but I failed to recognize that as well.
Instead I allowed emotions to rule the day and jumped to the defence of my friends.

In after thought that was probably a mistake.

Now, I could choose to continue this battle but the fact is it is pointless to do so. I'm never going to change your opinion and your never going to change mine. And as I don't have a need or a desire to carry this on for an extended period of time to only have it result in my being removed from Lit I am going to end this now.

To all who had to endure the garbage that has resulted from this I apologize.

But actually what I was referring to was the little known fact that some people in the White House made some new law so that now certain pictures that people had posted of themselves in the Amateur Pics section are now illegal and being deleted.
