Now they're saying 30 - 40 cm of snow. The storm hasn't started yet but the school bus company has already called to say the buses won't be coming so kids are home for the day.

it's probably for the best the buses aren't running. it's going to get nasty up by you. we just have the winds to deal with. we'll get snow, but nothing like you're going to get. we lucked out, the storm went north.

Their schools are still open but it would take me at least 3 hours to take them in by public transit so they'll be staying home. Lots of snow and high winds expected here so yes you're lucky.
