Not yet but I did finish my shopping last week. The boys presents are wrapped, but still have a few others to do. I also need to finish cleaning the house and my baking today. I won't be about to bake tomorrow since my mother is coming over to do her baking.

i have a few last minute things to pick up. was going to do it this afternoon when my vehicle is available, but we're supposed to get hit with a winter storm this afternoon. lots of freezing rain with accumulating ice. i guess i will have to wait until tomorrow. today i will try to find those christmas presents i bought earlier this year and now can't remember where i put them
what are you baking? i've been doing cookies, all kinds of cookies.

Be careful and drive safely when you do go out. I always put presents in my closet. The kids know this but they don't try peeking at them.
Yesterday I baked apple bread, lemon rasberry muffins, and candy cane cookies. Today I'll be baking a Christmas tree cake, some more cookies and probably make some more chocolates. I made 3 different kinds of cookies last week and they're already gone.

when my father grew up, his mother baked an outrageous amount for christmas. she continued to do this as her kids got older and had kids. i can remember going over to my grandparents house and there were long tables set up in the garage with all kinds of baked goods. i continued this tradition for my father. i baked up a storm around the holidays. i did it because it made my dad happy. after he passed on, i couldn't continue. he's been gone for 5 years now and i'm just starting to dip my toe into baking again. cookies this year and i'm sure more next year. perhaps i'll get back to where i once was and give the stuff away.

They love it when I bake. I'm going to be busy for the next few days. Today will be cleaning, baking and wrapping the rest of the presents. Tomorrow my mother is coming over early in the morning, then my sisters, nieces and nephew will be over later in the day, then we're all heading to my aunt's for a really late supper and opening presents. Christmas morning my mother, older sister and one of my aunts and uncles will be over for brunch, then my younger sister comes for supper with her SO and kids.
