Sigh.... yes, I did for just a brief exchange. I did try to detain him for as long as possible hoping you all would have been on... even drew his birdbath water to help warm him up, since he was freezing his feathers off!

So, what usually happens on these vigils?

Freezing Cold

The perverse unstoppable Army of freezing cold slowly descends upon everything like a lead weight.
It's first victim any plant life left unprotected, it wraps itself around the plant like a lover giving it an embrace of death. Hardening all liquids inside the plant causing the cell walls to burst and sealing the plants faith to death.

The Army then marches on falling upon the defences of man. Buildings made of solid walls with insulation as further protection the army of cold wraps the buildings in it's embrace of death seeking any and all weakness in the defences any tiny pin prick that it can use to it's advantage.

Once the holes in the defence are found freezing cold moves in, invading the interior of the buildings of man where it is meet with the last line of protection.

Fire, the mass murderer turned trained soldier harnessed and enslaved to the insides of our furnace to give us an opposing army against the foe of Cold.

Yes, fire stands up bravely against it and like any modern army greedily sucking up and consuming it's resource fuel to build its strength against the foe.
