My adios was for any serious discourse (not for critiquing critiques); I am enjoying the rest of this thread. Counting my posts is so you and nearly hilarious, quite hysterical in the mindful notion of the word. Break up? There was nothing to break you poor thing.

I did not bring my friend, but I do believe she's getting off on your rep too.

adoo (and you know what that rhymes with)

not Perdu

Hi Etoile, in response to your post (below). I say the same as I've done in gblt (to your slightly more polite and fair posting there), while honoring your desires.

It's pretty hard to get into the 'motives' thing, and 'prove' morality. Maybe mine are as evil as Perd says, or mixed or 'pure'.

I think the issue might arise [at GBLT], even yes, if it would take a nasty guy like me, but there are such, ya know. And 'character' (as it's believed to be) shouldn't be the basis of any rules or ruling--I give Catalina credit for that.

So I shall take it down [from GBLT], as recommended by you.

I believe the only insights about this thread will come from reading it; whether the issues are dealt with substantively. The 'whys' and attempts to link present imputed motives, and past imputed ones is pure (!) speculation.

In short, confirming evidence of your skepticism or Perd's grudge view would be that all that happens here is flames against her and her work.

BTW, if what mainly happens here is flames from perd and pups, does that support my view that maybe there's a 'second side' to the dispute, that rights and wrongs don't lay out neatly as is being suggested? {I'll answer, to save space: No; righteous flames and namecalling don't count, grudges and grudge postings of the righteous are entirely justified, their eternity reflecting the eternity of the evil they confront.}

Best,
J.

PS. Your line: The only way it could happen in GLBT Chatter, Pure, is if somebody like you posted an excerpt from a story.

Exactly.

Pure, I think it was totally inappropriate of you to post your complaints over in GLBT Chatter. Including that little paragraph about "ooh, this could happen here" was total bullshit. You whined on and on about what's happening here in BDSM Talk, and mentioned "this could happen here" as an aside. The only way it could happen in GLBT Chatter, Pure, is if somebody like you posted an excerpt from a story. I think you were just trying to get more eyeballs on your thread here, and more support for your perspective. You are not a regular poster in GLBT Chatter, and that makes me think even more that you were just trying to drum up supporters among people you probably don't even know.

Hi Lark,
you said,

Hey, Pure... simply because she dismissed you, doesn't necessarily mean that she is exiting the thread and interaction with others.

Of course you're right LS. Neither would I expect you to avoid posting to those you deem unworthy.

:rose:

My 'fault' is--besides evil motives--a disturbing literal mindedness, as when perdida said,

I shall leave any of you [who read and post] and p. to it.

But, agreeing with you, I'm entirely aware of how the P-pups at author's work. When they don't like a person or thread or find it boring, they start posting 'boring' and writing compliments to each other. I anticipate the arrival of the stragglers soon.

J.

You know I try to speak English as well as I can. I force myself to read and speak a language which is completely foreign to me as a courtesy to Literotica and its members. It is my personal feeling that if you use a language you should use it correctly or not use it at all.

Manana does not exist in Spanish; in fact hasta la manana means nothing in Spanish. If you are trying to say until tomorrow, you should use hasta mañana.

Also a dios is not correct Spanish, it is adios one word not two. In fact what you just said was to god and I do not think it is your intention to call Perdita god.

Francisco.

In all fairness, I don't know how to make a tilde anywhere other than Word, and that usually takes my memory about 5 minutes to recall. In addition, old-school authors (Bronte-era, if I may go back to high school English class) occasionally wrote out "Good-bye" or "Good bye," probably drawing from its lengthier origin, "God be with you." "Adios" comes from the same place (translation and all) and although I haven't seen the same liberty taken in the Spanish literature I've read (an admittedly small amount), I don't count it as an impossibility that it COULD be written out separately like the English---more like a quirk of the author. Just my opinion.

Ah ha ha.

Francisco, are you Spanish speaking? Bueno, y gracias hombre.

p.s. to someone: It's Brontë (changed from the Irish Brunty by the pastor himself).

picky Perdita ;)

I'm not a native speaker, and perdida will perhaps have a say, since she's camped here, but I think it's perfectly good Spanish.

"To God" as in Fr _adieu_, futher does not label the person, god, but suggests, that they 'go to God' or commends them to god.

But thanks for stopping by and taking piss on this thread. Usted es un hombre verdadero.

:rose:

PS I am aware of the tilde problem but want to provide something for every level of discussion.

"If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you."

Be careful there, literal one - you risk not how others see "us", but uniting camps in how others experience Pure. ;)

p, I'll have a say because I'm Mexican, though descended from campesinos. It is not perfectly good Spanish, not even good Spanish. You erred grammatically is all, i.e., there is no argument, it's just so.

P.

Pure,
In my opinion being Spanish/Dutch, Spanish being my mother tongue, both my parents Spanish, born in Spain, having done a college degree in Spanish, I disagree with you. But this discussion could very easily pass as 12 on the silliness scale.

About taking a piss, well when you need to and you encounter a toilet what else is a man going to do.

Hola Perdita,

Francisco.

Desgracia, eh? Mucho gusto, Francisco, y a tu amor.

un bessito de vanilla, Perdita

Edited: Francisco, I just wrote a long PM and lost it as your PM box is full; will try anon.

This anonymous someone humbly accepts all correction of her typing disability and meekly requests that in the future, advice might be in the form of "this is how to make umlauts and tildes," rather than "you forgot the umlaut or tilde."

anonymous-Q: No offense meant. I merely copy and paste from other sources. (I hate to deprive the Brontës of their umlaut, it seems well earned to me.)

regards, Perdita

Oooh! Oooh! I know this one!

There are a few ways. There's opening up charmap (on Windows go to Run and just type "charmap" and hit enter, it'll pop up) and copying the characters you need. You can also use this to find out the info I'm about to tell you.

Or...you can use your numerical keypad. Hold down alt and type these on the numerical keypad:

Alt+0235 = ë
Alt+0241 = ñ

And so forth! (The others are in the Charmap where it says Keystroke.)

Wow! I actually understood that. Those 8 years of French may not have been totally wasted after all, maybe I should take Spanish too. :)
Out of curiosity, though, is BDSM the acronym really used in Spanish for this?

And by the way, is English your third language? You speak it as masterfully as if it were your first!

I still think the reason you were posting in GLBT Chatter is because it would draw more people here, not because you were actually concerned about preventing this happening there.

BDSM is actually used in Spanish taken out of English, some people have tried translating it but the translated terminology has not become very popular.

And yes English is my third language and thank you for the compliment, but Catalina is my editor on Lit, so she should receive the compliment.

Francisco.
