How tall is everyone?

Just a bit shy of 5'9". It's 5'8" on my DL. I've always been very happy with my height. I don't have tall persons problems or short persons problems. My wife is 5'2" so it works out fine. I like being medium height.

My son is 5'9. I love our height difference. We can actually dance together. My husband who's 6'2 and I look silly trying lol.

5'2 and 6 feet... Haven't danced with him yet (he's not a dancer to the shock of everyone knowing my hobbies), but I know it's far from ideal. Then again, I have even competed in dancing with someone taller than him...

Nice. Sometimes it's not easy to dance with a tall guy. Sometimes I would step on their feet and get tangled. Lol.

Over 25cm difference was definitely unergonomic.

But frankly, in social dancing I rarely encounter men taking longer steps than I'm able to, or even close. It's so uncommon for anybody to take really long steps.

When I learned folk dancing I was taught small steps lead to small mistakes

BTW 5'9" as there has been some shrinkage (used to be 5'10")

I know what kind of dancing makes a difference too. Just slow dancing makes me giggle. I'm basically holding his waist. 🀣

That's how it is for my wife and I. She's 11 inches shorter, and it's hilarious and adorable.

When I was in high school (I've been 6'5" since I was 16), my girlfriend my junior year had a friend who was 4'11". We all went to prom together, and we got a picture of me dancing with that friend. I was on my knees, and we were almost eye to eye. 🀣

Apparently the family genes just ran out of height! 🀣

The shortest girl I ever dated was 5' even. Only dated for a few weeks and never got "intimate," but part of me wonders about the logistics of things with that big of a height difference. I know just with my wife and I, anything standing is basically out of the question unless there's a step stool involved. πŸ˜†
