I’m so old I remember…

The first movie I remember seeing in a movie theater was Bambi
First movie I remember was Star Wars, first movie I actually went to. Young Frankenstein, I guess my personality was locked in at a young age.

I have told my kids the story of seeing Return of the Jedi in the movie theater which was one of the first to use Dolby Surround Sound and I was completely freaked out that when they are with the Ewoks it sounded like the stream was running through the theater.
(I saw Star Wars and Empire in the theater too, but was in my teens - or almost by then)

The first movie I remember watching in theatres but very very vaguely was Toy Story.
I was only 3 if I remember correctly. Mesmerized by the talking toys obviously

I wish the versions on Disney + never added the CGI.

Also, Han shot first.

It took me a while to see a movie in theaters. I didn't have a dad that liked to watch kids movies..... i may have been 11 or 12 we saw American pie 2 lol.... highly inappropriate upon reflection.

I remember a world without the Internet and WWW!
That wasn't that long ago. Early 90s, late 80s maybe.

A lot of the stuff mentioned was 70s, 60s, some 50s.

The early days of FM radio when they DJ would play an entire album side uninterrupted, then flip it and play the other side without saying a word, or maybe just a few about the album itself. That was usually late night, early morning.

See that knife right in the middle of my back? Yeah, if you could slowly remove it, that would be awesome

TV theme songs, Hawaii Five 0, Rawhide, The Greatest American Hero (Believe it or not, it's just me).
