I’m so old I remember…

It took me a while to see a movie in theaters. I didn't have a dad that liked to watch kids movies..... i may have been 11 or 12 we saw American pie 2 lol.... highly inappropriate upon reflection.
My dad was that way too, but was hell bent on getting to the movies (and escaping from my mom). As a result, I saw movies that were TOTALLY inappropriate a tween: The Deer Hunter, Apocalypse Now, Dressed to Kill, Dogs of War, An American Werewolf in London, Stripes, but also all three Star Wars movies and a lot of bad action movies.

Good and/or bad parenting. Not sure which!

I can still remember the smell of ditto copies teachers passed out for classroom assignments.

Pretty soon writing in cursive will become an old relic. Some schools have stopped teaching children how to write in cursive.

My oldest brother used to gather my siblings and I up to go to the latest set of martial arts movies out in Chinatown back when they were popular and on the rise.

Back then, one ticket let us see 3 or 4 movies at a time.

Driving a car, make and model unknown, that had push buttons instead of PRNDL on the column.

I remember being too old (a teen) when the Big Wheel came out and was disappointed I couldn't ride one.
That’s how I was with Care Bears and Cabbage Patch Dolls - didn’t stop me…I still have a huge 1908s Care Bear collection and I believe still have my Cabbage Patch.
