My dad was that way too, but was hell bent on getting to the movies (and escaping from my mom). As a result, I saw movies that were TOTALLY inappropriate a tween: The Deer Hunter, Apocalypse Now, Dressed to Kill, Dogs of War, An American Werewolf in London, Stripes, but also all three Star Wars movies and a lot of bad action movies.
Back when cigarettes were 75 cents a pack.....
I remember when cigarettes were in vending machines and the cartons were in plain view behind the counter cashier.

Found this and about died laughing. I remember this smell like it was in the air right now. Any big event it came out and they swam in this stuff!
That’s how I was with Care Bears and Cabbage Patch Dolls - didn’t stop me…I still have a huge 1908s Care Bear collection and I believe still have my Cabbage Patch.
That was a Chrysler corporation car...a had a 1960 Plymouth with the pb transmission..**** car..big car..
