I’m so old I remember…

When I mention someone, it's more about when they started out, or when they were at the top of their popularity. Not so much when they're still hanging on.

Like Sara Purcell.

Or Cathy Lee Crosby.

Or Catherine Deneuve

I remember my Mom making a big deal about my 100 dollar 10 Speed when I was 12..
I bought a Raleigh 10 speed for about $100 at age 14-ish. I was carrying newspapers then and cutting grass and stuff for jobs and it was a lot of money. I rode that bike everywhere!

My uncle had an old Ford truck (don't recall the year but this was the mid 70s) with a "three on the tree" tranny.

I remember using paper grocery bags to cut, fold and cover my school text books. I even found one in my memory box.
Those bags were also perfect for the newspaper drives..... each one held about 2 week's worth of papers.

The Huntly/Brinklley Report

Jessica Savitch

Jane Pauley

Jessica Savitch drowned in about two feet of water. Cocaine is a helluva drug. That brings up the fact that I can remember when cocaine was considered a relatively harmless, upscale drug (at least it wasn’t smack, so the thought went)

Related: I am old enough to remember when heroin was called smack

Wondering how many of us older girlies are excited to see this book on the big screen because we are old enough to remember reading it the first time around (and then being terrified of the 6th grade “talk”
