I am Music

This is the mood I am in.

(Surprising picture quality on this one. The interplay of light and shadow on Muddy's face is striking)

So many good European shows

T Bone Walker - I remember the first time I heard this tune. It was a single by Jethro Tull. Damn, that was a good disc.

Same song, done by albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughn. What a pair that is, wow.

And, slowly but surely, the blues reminds me that "Everything's gone be alright"

was

towersong
playing this tune and being the lyric this night...but, Nanci Griffith was not
on youtube...maybe someone out there can find her...singing the tower song...:rose:

should such a story be reflected from
a singers eye
or echoed from tears dried,
it may be you have dropped into
the sorry in these eyes
permeating in a tower of song

*snip link* (Edit: I don't need to share this particular anger. If you want to see it, do a search for the info)

Today has been brutally stressful. Click at your own risk.

(Video is highly graphic. Song is fucking angry. I would accept that I'm pissed and avoid clicking it.)

(It's a homebrew video to Ministry's "TV II")

I'm trying harder today.

Hatikva 6 - "Fire pon Babylon"

MIS turned me on to this band.

More faya, more faya! :D Me likes.

Did you ever hear anything about Steven Segall starting a reggae band?
I heard this years ago and saw him on this show called Irie Vibes, in an interview. I don't know if it ever came to fruition though. It's been so long, I'm starting to think I hallucinated it.

I actually heard something about that! Wonder what came of it. I remember seeing a clip on some show.

And Hatikva 6 is pretty damned good stuff. I've been digging on thier album "Hope".

Whoa.

*Runs off to find more of this act*

That song is from their "Phrenology" album. Their live performances are always as good as the album. Sometimes better, because they do some adlib and sometimes do alternate takes of their own material. They're more on the underground side, but they get some airplay, especially independent radio shows. The drummer ( in the background of that picture) Amir "?uestlove" (pronounced Questlove) produces for a lot of other artists, especially a lot of indie acts.

Is H6 in stores or do you have to buy them online?

I'm digging their sound on youtube.

I *shem* found H6. And got some from MIS'. Her brother became a fan when he saw them in Israel.

Feeling a tad stressed out, but unwinding to this Simply Red cover of a Neil Young classic.

Mellow My Mind

The album version is a lot better, without the noise of the audience.

cuz i just luv this song, and at the moment, can't get it out of my head. i figure somebody else should be stuck with it too. ;)

I am feeling betrayed.

Monster

Yeah, it has some yahoo playing along with it. He's not so awful that he detracts from the song though. Then watch John Kay's intro in this version (though the sound quality is frikken awful when they start to play)

And, while not music, this is an appropriate video to accompany this song.

I want franchise back. I want it to mean something.
