I didn't leave the Democrat Party, it left me!

Because it makes you crazy trying to figure out why.

Hallucinations again.

The ACA is not "Left-Wing health care." You can tell because the health-insurance companies are still in business.

Michael Moore was right: When it comes to health-care reform, "the health-insurance companies are the enemy and should not have a place at the table." But they got one.

In this case they are not the enemy of the state, they are partners of the state, as Leviathan strives to build Corporatism, Fascism. They are cooperating in the state's oppression of the economic rights of the civil sociey in regard to health care.

Exactly the same thing that auto insurance companies did with "financial responsibility" laws. A poor person is judgement proof in all practical senses and does not need liability insurance. If you have assets to protect you insure them.

Sit in any traffic court and see the sad parade of people pulled over, fined exorbitantly and denied a means of getting to their menial jobs over that law.

 You're right about the health insurers being "partners of the state" in the ACA -- that's why they did not fight harder to stop it, which alone should have raised a red flag -- but what's the rest of that crap?! Germany has a similar health-care system and is no Fascist nor Corporatist state. Neither is Canada, which has full single-payer, nor the UK, where the doctors are government employees.

I think of it as protection from the racket...

When Government gets so powerful that its purchase price is cost effective, even imperative, to business, then business will purchase government indulgences.

The law is there to protect you if a poor person hits your car with his.

My own insurance protects ME and MY ASSETS. Explain the need for insurance to do that in a no-fault state? If I hit a poor person his insurance has to pay half the cost of repairing my Lamborghini.

His rates and his expenses to drive which is essential in most western states are not tied to his safety performance but to the pool of all drive.

Why do you favor extorting money from poor people at the point of governments metaphorical gun to benefit big business?

If you are paying for insurance to protect YOU from your own negligence, then you are either a fool or irresponsible.

Mandatory auto insurance is to protect the victim of your recklessness.

Not in a no fault state it isn't.

Also did you know that uninsured motorist coverage is REQUIRED in a state where everyone is required to be insured?

You are actually NOT required to carry collision, so you are not required to cover your own assets and many people cannot afford that portion.

I can see them requiring that in the future so that cops can spot recent accidents versus historical ones.

Whose insurance do you think pays for repairing cars in single vehicle accidents or hit and runs? Last I checked deer and coyote are not required to carry insurance.

I don't live in a no-fault state. My insurance, that is required to title my car, covers the other person if I cause an accident.

If state's want to adopt a no-fault scheme, that's up to them and the voters of that state.

Voters in any state can be convinced to vote for anything if you phrase the proposition the way it polls best.

Our state went to mandatory insurance after the insurance companies spent MILLIONS in advertising (which of course got local media's panties wet with all the ad dollars) The pitch was we have some of the highest rates of uninsured drivers and highest costs for insurance. Mandatory insurance makes it "fair" and will bring down rates.

Now, 25 years later, we still have one of the highest rates of uninsured drivers and highest costs for insurance.

Same thing will happen with ObamaCare. Requiring insurance while not allowing across state lines purchase will only raise rates and will not increase the uninsured people showing up in emergency rooms. "Undocumented" workers don't get car insurance or health insurance, and don't care that the law says they have to.
