I feel pretty!

Hahaha, very true! I thought something along those lines as well.

Of course, never the thought crossed their mind that THEY might try doing the dishes.

Sopranos watcher here.

And just for clarification, the term "goomar" is a slight modification of "gomatta" and does, indeed, mean mistress or girlfriend. The variant "goomah" is a regional adaptive pronunciation.

I never could really get into the 'Sopranos', I mean using 'fuck' every other word?.....seriously.

I'm reminded of a very funny moment: demanding a manicure and discovering that she had absolutely no idea how to operate a pair of nail clippers. :D

What???? My brain can't compute this. How the hell can anyone not know how to operate a pail of nail clippers. I just can't quite imagine that.

To be fair, I think the problem was mostly about not ever having used them on another person's hand.

I can see how that could be difficult. I've done that for another person and was terribly nervous about hurting them. Since I was so cautious, I didn't hurt them. I just had to re-do a couple of the nails since I didn't cut them short enough.

BX in the house. I think I've seen the Sopranos once. What I love is that Puerto Rican dudes know "meshuggah and tzotchkes" and when I'm here it's "wha?" Since my mom's relationship with her on/off BF, we've adopted "agida" considering all the gastric and mental issues one could discuss with my family. Sometimes I feel like matzoh ball with marinara.
