Then let me add my begging to the list, for personal reasons i'd rather not share.

i don't care where your (general) current age happens to stand. Get one if you (general) haven't had one. If for no other reason, give the doctors a baseline. If you must have one later down the road, they know what your normal breast tissue looks like. And rather than belabor the obvious, having another after the booby fairy visits you during a pregnancy probably makes sense as well.

Oh, great ADR, quieen of all knowledge, great and small...
How is the presence of color defined on paper? What I mean is, is black the presence of all colors in the spectrum, or is white the presence of all colors?

And, how is light defined? Is white light the presence of all light in the spectrum or is dark the presence of all light?

And, if you have the answer to these questions...

Could you tell me...how do you make French Toast? :D
I see Rose didn't answer all your questions DVS, can I have a go? :D

I did too.

My answer covered all his questions.

But you have a go at it, smarty pants. I'm sure you're more right than I am. I didn't do physics in college. ;-)

Lol, neither have I, seeing as how I'm not in college yet, and I don't intend to take it beyond high school. but, if you want me to double check the facts.....

didn't answer that did you? hehehe.
aaaanyway, let's get a textbook definition: Light consists of particles, massless bundles of concentrated electromagnetic energy, also called photons, that travel in waves.
Colour, of course being the frequency of these waves, infrared being at the very bottom, and white being at the top.

Rest easy, I had it today, AA. It wasn't the awful experience I remembered. They treated me well and I'm not going to skip in the future. The begging wasn't too bad, was it?

Yes, you are correct she didn't answer that question. But, I'm sure it wasn't because she didn't know the answer, as much as she just missed it, as it was so similar to the one about color.

And, by the way, she was quite correct in her answer that black is the presence of all color and white is the absence of all color. It's a basic for art majors.

Now, the reason I also asked about light is that it has a similar answer. Light has it's spectrum just as colour...um I mean color has the color wheel. And, I should have said we're talking about visible light, so infrared isn't included, nor is ultra violet on the other end. But, don't forget a spectrum of light won't include the absence of light in it's scale, because it isn't light.

The presence of all color is black when the presence of all light is white. The absence of all color is white when the absence of all light is black. Because black is the absence of light, it isn't included in the light spectrum and is then just below that scale. It's kind of a trick question, and made worse because I falied to include the word "visible".

Well-said DVS :) ultra-violet, I knew there was a non-visible form of light because its frequency was too high but the name eluded me at the time. The whole colour thing seems to be more of an art thing, as opposed to a physics thing, and art is NOT my specialty lol

PLEASE STOP!!!

My eyes are glazing over here. I'm remembering why I hated school.

Lol, I'm still in school Grace, stop whining :p .
But at least physics is fun, horray for physics! :).

See, all that school is rotting your brain. Did you just say 'hooray for physics!'? That's just sick. Be careful, and keep and eye out for the little men in white coats!

I have to agree. Although I happened to like school when I was there, this is a bit much for me, too.

Next it will be quantum physics or genetic engineering.

This thread wasn't about being smart, it was just supposed to be funny. People asking me questions that I obviously don't know the answers to and that I will not google search so I can look real smart by answering, was not my agenda here.

I'm on a 10K quest... that's my agenda. LMAO

Who knows? Maybe I'll retire from Lit when I get to that mark. Or change my name... or get a new hairdo... buy some new shoes... the possiblities are endless.

And please, don't call anyone a whiner because they aren't interested in high school physics, OK? ;-)

Last time I checked this was a porn board.

Horray for porn too! :D

LOL I'm not worried about it. If I left him for one day with my three kids and my sisters two (ages 2, 3, 5, 6, & 7), he'd run screaming (and whining) for his pysics class. Everyone has their strengths, and school was never mine. *shudders* I graduated 9 years ago, and I still have nightmares about missing classes, or forgetting my locker combo, or not being able to find a class or something. Do these ever go away? THE HORROR!

Run screaming and whining? no, more than likely just be very bored and fail to protect whatever house they were in from ruin lol.
Thing is, you probably know how to take care of kids lol, I do not, my protective instincts are primarily to destroy whomever/whatever is making the danger lol. And the kids probably respect you, makes it a tad easier I'd imagine  .
We've all our aptitudes, looking after other living things in that fasion is definately not mine, I can barely look after myself.
And as a side thought, let's see you write a 200 page book without runing screaming back to looking after your kids ;) .

Porn has it's share of physics, too. Leverages, fulcrums, power and friction.

And, as for you answering questions, ADR, the whole idea is to answer the best you can and be done with it. Make the answers up, and pretend it's the right answer. Use your imagination. After all, you're the Queen of all knowledge!!!! :)

I didn't care for school, either. I hated going to some classes. College was mostly the same, in some classes. I had a World History class of about 100.

The professor always wore a white suit. He was always reading a book, when we were entering the auditorum (yes, not a class room because there were too many of us). He had a pair of glasses on for reading. When the bell rang, he would put the book down, take those reading glasses off and put them in his breast pocket.

He would then reach into his other breast pocket and take out another pair of glasses, that looked exactly like the first pair. But, these were for looking at us. Every day was the same. Same color suits, same glasses, and same rutine. I couldn't tell if the book was the same, but I like to think that at least changed. Talk about a boring class?

But, some things are intersting. Sure, if they aren't interesting to you, it's work to learn it. I'm the same way with some things. World History is that way with me. BORING. But, it makes me wonder if it wasn't so much the history that was boring, because I don't think history is boring. What was boring for me was the style of teaching I experienced. Lectures, and more lectures, then a test on Friday...EVERY Friday. God, I hated that class.

But, ADR, I have another question for you...

Why did the Porage Bird lay her eggs in the air?

A Question

If a plane crashed on the border between the US and Canada, where would you bury the survivors?
