I don't get the delays. The House should have voted Friday morning, the Senate Friday afternoon. He should be gone by now. He is a 'clear and present danger' as long as he can issue orders to the Pentagon.

These documents have to be carefully phrased (the key issue now is to shut down on him through the future). The only draft available Friday morning had not been widely scrutinized and was from a controversial source. The House and Senate were in formal recess. Bringing them back for weekend session requires total agreement in the separate houses. There are still Republican coupists in both houses, so that's a nonstarter.

Since Pence and the required number of the eligible Cabinet members are unwilling to invoke the 25th Amendment, about the only thing left that can be done in the short term is to lure Trump off to some remote place, like, say, Camp David D) and get his direct connection to the world shut down until he can be tossed out with the garbage.
