Don't be too jealous - my start to my vacation wasn't so great.

I slept fine on Saturday, went in to work Saturday night ... spent hours and hours doing all the boring ass filing that no one else will do. Absolutely could not sleep when I got home on Sunday ... and had to work Sunday night. This AM, one of the day shift nurses had called off, we had 7 releases and were running low on meds to send home with them, and the paychecks didn't arrive which means that I have to drive all the way back down to pick mine up *grumble*

At least I can take off again as soon as I get my check.

How is everyone else out there doing? surviving the storms, I hope.

Well, my vacation ends today at 9pm when I leave for work *sigh*

It was pretty good though. I got my paycheck Tues morning, we left for MI to see my 3 week old niece on Wed morning, and made about $140 at our rummage sale this weekend. How is everyone else doing?

The weekend was good. Watched my younger daughters play soccer and spent time with the family.

Colts game was fun yesterday...any win is a good win!!

Hi guy's just checking in, seeing what's been going on since I have been teaching all week....

My lord.. I forgot how inquisitive 1st graders are.. lol And their abilty to just say the first thing they think of. lol

I had one child come to the desk yesterday to inform me his older brother in middle school had MONO... then he giggled going back to his seat, and said my dad says it's cause he kisses too many girls... LOL three other classmates, (boys) all said EWWW, thats yukky...

The next youngman, who I am sure will be some sort of writer, or actor... He approaches my desk to inform me he has two types of DNA... One is HUMAN... THE other is MUTANT.... I ask him what the Mutant DNA did for him, he replied "It makes me FAST!!!!"

I did experience a tid bit of a hostile situation.. a little girl comes to the desk, ask can I sharpen her pencil (sharpener is electric, teacher left strick orders kids are not allowed to use it)... So I ablige, sharpen it to a perfect point.. hand it back to her, just to watch her go over, and attack a young man with it, breaking his skin in two places with the newly sharpened weapon I had given her... When I ask the boy had he done anything to provoke her, he said "No.. she just went psycho on me like my mom does my dad!!!!"... OMG... I about feel outa my chair...

Today I was with highschool LD students, and they were just happy to see a new face... someone new to tell their stories too!I

it was a very peaceful day, and it made me remember how much I have to be thankful for, and how blessed I am!!

I love music, always have... Lyrics are really the interest, since I love to write, and read between the incrypted words to find the true meaning behind them...

Politics.. OMG... Bring me my soapbox... we would be here for decades.. lol

Work has been crazy for me - I got into a fight this morning with the AA because she's lost some of my paperwork ... you know, the kind of paperwork that has my SS#, my signature, everything a criminal would need to steal my identity ... and she doesn't seem to understand why I'm pissy about it - had the nerve to tell me she didn't want any arguements and that I needed to stop yelling at her (when she has screeched at me in the past over stupid shit). I told our boss when she got there that I didn't want the AA to talk to me anymore ... and she said that was fine lol.

Other than that, things are going well - have a wonderful young man as a potential (found him on CM ... now have to get him down here for a face-to-face meeting), and the house is getting under control ... as long as I don't murder the AA, all should be well here
