There's a difference between not appreciating the effort and trying to feign appreciation for something that simply creates more work for you and becomes wasted effort for them.

Your example is about being pre-emptively punished and the one doing the punishing expecting the same effort being put in following the punishment.

A better example would be a secretary who has put significant effort into creating an easily updated meeting schedule for their boss and the boss taking it upon themself to update the schedule on their own to take some of the workload off of their secretary. Only the boss inadvertently loses half of the scheduled appointments by not clicking a particular setting that they were previously shown how to do and the boss still expecting the effort to be appreciated, even though they've just doubled the work of their secretary by 'helping.'

IMO, whether the BJ is reasonable as a reward isn't really the question.

As I tell my wife (often) when she asks me to do things, whether it's heavy lifting or fixing things she can't; "That's why I get the blowjobs," or "I do it for the blowjobs."
