Trump is sending National Guard troops into American cities. If that's not fascist, it is definitely authoritarian, and fascism waits at the bottom of that slope.

To enforce the laws, George H.W, Bush did the same thing in the 90s, He sent U.S. Marines into Los Angels to stop the Rodney King riots. Eisenhower sent the federal Airborne troops into Alabama to the beat the shit out of people who were stopping black kids from attending school. United States Marines assaulted Alcatraz to put down an inmate riot going on inside. President Franklin D. Roosevelt deployed 6,000 federal troops to Detroit Michigan to suppress a race riot. In 1968, President Johnson deployed federal troops and activated the D.C. National Guard to suppress riots in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Chicago following Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination. In 1971, President Richard Nixon used a combined force of law enforcement, National Guardsmen, and active-duty military to manage and arrest Vietnam War protesters in Washington, D.C.. In 1987, President Ronald Reagan invoked the Insurrection Act to deploy federal forces to end a prison riot in Atlanta. All of which demonstrates how friggin' ignorant you are.

More importantly, Trump is acting even more now than in his first term like he will tolerate no resistance. He will have his way on everything. He will recognize no opposition as legitimate. That is fascist.

Of course they knew all that. That does not mean they told the truth about it. Even you must realize, by now, that when Trump or Hegseth or anybody in this administration says something, that alone is a pretty compelling reason not to believe it. In that regard, at least, Trump is exactly like Hitler.
