Dun da da DUN! Super Sub to the rescue!! Able to cock worship while getting flogged while cooking you a 7 course meal WHILE on her knees in a dog cage!!

 My submissive super powers bring all the doms to the yard.

is she elderly? i don't wish to worry you, but you need to get her looked at by your vet or at least speak with them on the phone.

when a cat is ill, or old, they often know there's more going on than we get shown, and the affection/bowel problems are signs of something not right. she could even be showing signs of feline dementia.

if she's not old, or even if she is, why would she suddenly have anxiety/separation issues? has your routine changed? have you changed something big in your lives like moving home/bringing a new pet or child into the fold?

She's 2 1/2, so highly doubtful she's got bowel problems.
And yes on the other changes, she had a cat-friend next door since I got her who moved away with his owner on the same week we moved elsewhere. The area we live now is much less spacious and very urban, so no nearby recreational areas that I know of that she can roam around in.

i'm very happy to hear it's most likely all about those huge changes and nothing physical. guess she needs the reassurance and to get settled, and if she does go outside she has the whole 'new kid on the block' thing to deal with. all the local moggies will have regular routes, each of them knows which other cats they avoid or can intimidate in their rules of one upcatship...

hopefully time and friendly neighbour cats will sort the issues out. :rose:

They are sulking, big time. I will not be keeping them in there little coop after Saturday. On Saturday we'll fix up the milking parlour ( where the geese sleep) and make it all fun with things to do and take them over there. It might not have a view, but it's bigger and easier to enrich and give more exercise. No solution is perfect but it's pretty good for back yard birds :)

tell them it's a new form of glamping :D a bit like center parcs - you could put up some of that landscape wallpaper! like a telletubbies background :D

I live close to a hospital and in trams I often get to eavesdrop peoples phone calls to their relatives about what has happened. Usually it's about this or that bone being fractured or something like that.

Three days ago I heard someone call their grandma telling they were diagnosed with whooping cough! Now, I have no idea how contagious it is, but hearing about it was highly uncomfortable and taking a cab probably would have been better than taking the tram and potentially exposing lots of people to whooping cough. I had also thought it's one of those old timey diseases that don't really exist anymore.

And now I have a killer cough.

I know it's not whooping cough because I've been vaccinated, my cough is not whoopy and how likely is it anyways, but it kinda made me a little paranoid.

It did prompt me to check if my vaccinations are up to date, though. I need to get tetanus and diphtheria renewed next year. Good reminder.

I thought I might put on a matinee each day for them. Musical numbers and a one woman, two dog, one cat show ( blue cat won't go out there in winter).

A few songs and why did the chickens cross the road jokes?
i'd pay good money to see that :D

any hecklers, straight in the pot

ooh yes, maybe something from South Pacific, West Side Story, or - given the season - Mary Poppins? should go down a treat :D

i'm not sure, but i think whooping cough is very contagious. had it as a baby but don't remember, thank goodness!

unfortunately, many of these diseases are making a come-back where lots of parents thought them a thing of the past and scaremongering about associated risks meant they opted not to get their children vaccinated. with our diverse population, there's a regular influx of imported germs and measles is another biggie seeing a huge rise in infections in the UK.

get better soon :rose:

Yes, I checked and learned that it is considered very contagious. :( I hope nobody caught it.

People here are generally pretty well vaccinated. There are a few small towns where the rate of vaccination is so low that the herd immunity basically doesn't exist, and doctors recommend families with kids who can't be vaccinated to move away from those areas.

Thanks. Ginger, lemon and honey are working their magic. I feel better already. :rose:

4.11 - almost full dark after a day that could barely be called daylight. no wonder i was permasleepy today

The incidence in whooping cough is way up in the states. Unpleasant for adults, but it can be deadly to babies. I've actually seen some ads on, pushing to vaccinate if you are around infants. There are occasional "bad" batches of vaccines where immunity is not attained. It's not a bad idea to titer or get re-vaccinated if your vacs aren't recent. :)

Yes! And knock knock jokes. Geese love knock knock jokes! :D

Errrr.. Eh?
Is that a typo?
Because I have never titered myself.
That I know of :D

We are heavy into what we call an office worker's polar night:

The sun rises at 9-ish and sets at 3-ish, so if you work normal hours, you never really see the sun except through the window. Except that the skies are mostly overcast this time of year, so it's a rare but happy sighting to get even a small glimpse of sun this time of the year. Lately we've had several sunny days and it's been downright magical. :)

The real polar night luckily doesn't happen this far south.

The incidence is up among small kids here, too. Sadly. But the vaccination rates are still pretty good. Around 95% of each group go through the entire national vaccination program, which is free for everybody.

Three inches of snow doesn't keep me from doing things, it just keeps me from wanting to do things.

Which for me is quite a hurdle.

The chest cold really isn't helping either.

LOL. No. You can have a titer (short for titration) done on a blood draw to check for the presence of antibodies induced by a specific vaccine.

And while - technically - you could do it to yourself, it's usually done by someone else. :p

That's a new one, thank you for that :)

My blurt.

I do love what cold weather does to indoor kitties :)

Casinos are everything I hate all in one place. I spent the night with my friend so she could play and at the end of the night I just put my head down and tried to get my brain to stop aching. Casinos are my hell. So tired.

They are a way to tax the statistically impaired.

My last TDap booster was 2011.
Pertussis can be deadly to infants and elderly. It's extremely contagious. If you have regular access to babies, oldies, or the immunosuppressed, get your booster shot!
