John's Rustic Romper Room

Thanks Thandi. The banana bread is wonderful! Looks like everyone is busy today. Bet when the sun goes down we'll see some more :)

Shall I introduce you to a wonderful homegrown Jazz artist...

Saw her for the first time around 25 years ago...amazing woman!

I've loved Holly Cole for years, but I only have Blame It On My Youth from 1992 (which has Calling You on it), and haven't heard any of her new work. Thanks so much for re-introducing me to her Thandi, it's been a while since she's been in the rotation... (and yes, I was singing along with both songs)

The Stairway to Heaven was just wonderful as well, I often forget how much I enjoy good music!

Good morning all. I've had a terrible time logging in for nearly 24 hours now and wanted to touch base and let you all know I haven't forgotten you!

It sounds like I missed something with Thandi. I sure hope you stop by the RRR once in a while, you know you're always welcome here, and we miss you when you're not around.

As most of you know, my classes begin tomorrow. I anticipate having much less free time, but will try to get by here as often as possible. I do know I'm going to need to decompress from time to time and hope that there will be folks around the pool or in the jacuzzi when I get the chance.

Each & every one of you that regularly stop by have become important to me and I dont want to lose contact with anyone :(

Love & kisses to you all (yes, even you Munky!) :rose:

Ok, so for the most part, I'm ready for my classes tomorrow. Mrs. john & I just watched a movie, and am now starting lunch. The day is falling into place nicely, and I plan on relaxing the rest of it away.

I may go for a run a bit later and then will be grilling some short ribs for dinner. Anyone that wants to stop by and float a while is welcome, and of course, there's always enough dinner for whoever may be hungry. I still have some wonderful salad that Thandi made the other day too.

I have to go forage for food at my fave store in a few. May I join you when I get back?

Want anything from the store?

Pff ... You run of before I saw that. I would have liked some chocolate ...

I will be around for a bit. BBB is playing tonight. Would be fun floating and humming along to some oldies.

Swiss Miss wanted chocolate? That's like asking me if I would run to Target in Dubuque and and get you a watch. ;)

I did pick up some grapes, though. I can feed them to any pool floaters as if you were Cleopatra, fanning you with peacock feathers.

What is this BBB you speak of? If it's BigBradBrain you should be advised that general consensus is he has no sense of humor. And I've heard rumors he has Cyber Herpes.

Oh I like the peacock feathers! Such a nice idea!

Don't believe all the rumors you hear. Sadly BBB isn't playing anything. There is a storm in his part of the world. No Radio-Lit tonight ...

Do you have all your new office supplies? I have a slight office supply addiction. Every year before school I get new pencils and paper, and clips and staples, red pens, black pens, green pens....you get the idea. Oh, binders and folders too. Yea, I have an addiction. Markers too!!!!
