thank you for answering. The holiday question, I never predicted the difference in how Americans and Brits interpret it, and I love that difference. Yes, I think any time you are applying for your own job is a little weird. I have done it too much over the years. In my experience, when corporations restructure, they like to make everyone apply for their jobs as they decide who they will keep. Not the same thing, but still the same weird result.
It must have been crazy working in a job where most of the people are related to each other.

Exactly! The college's vice principal was the son of the principal.
In my faculty alone about half the staff were related to each other or staff that had worked there before
So, I actually education sounds normal. yeah, I feel another story with much introspection to that point coming on
