Legend Of Zelda: Future Atonement

The Poe began to laugh and was soon joined by his three brothers. They proceeded to surround Zelda and spun around her. Their ghastly chuckles echoed throught the room.

Instead of becoming scared by the two new poes Zelda became even angrier. Their laughter grated on her nerves and she glared at each one. "What do you want? Are you here to kill me or kidnap me?" she shook her head her blonde hair flying around her face. "I'll warn you now I'm not going without a fight, and despite my size I'm quite a handful!" she took on a defensive stance ready to destroy the first poe that dared to try anything.

IC: I ducked behind a corner into an alley. 'what are you going to do?' "Good question." How am I going to fight this thing. It has me out ranged right now. Shit I should of grabed the crossbow and killed it while it was reloading after it's first shot. Curse my inexperince.

I began to look aroun there was a fire escape to the top of the building. The ladder hung only about eight feet into the air. I could esape easily enough. But is running the right thing to do? Almost any number of people can handle one moblin, but no one can handle an army of them. If I don't get to Zelda before she talks we will face armys of moblins and things much worse.

A second man ran into the alley way. "We need to reach Zelda in order to save more lives. Besides when I have the full power of the triforce backing me up I can undo this horror." I wip out my chain onto the ladder and climb against the building up to it. Lee flying up behind me.

'So your going to run.' "I'm not running." 'Then what are you doing?' "Saveing lives." I made my way on to the top of the building and began to get ready for my jump onto the next. In the back I her tortured screams as the person I left behind is killed by the moblin. 'Thats a strange thing to call it.' "You know what I have planed is for the greater good."

The poe countinued to laugh as they turned invisible. Without warning, Zelda's possesions began to fly around the room.

Her dresses flew around in circles, as if they were dancing. Books flew back and forth throught the room, like pigeons with bindings. Finally her bed started to jump up and down.

I arrive at the place that was shown in my head.
"Everything is where it was in my head. The cars, fire hydrants, and the wierd creature shooting stuff."

I do a double take and realize that this is not a good thing. I see it aiming for a young women and her child. I roll up and get between it and the women.

I feel it's shot bounce off of my back and I can feel pain. I uncurl and grab the creature.

"You one ugly SOB, well time for you to take a nap"

I take the creature and ram it head first into the building. I drop him and in the distance can see a woblin.

As I am standing looking around I see a person jumping from one roof to the next.

"Well a person in a town that has creatures running around jumping from roof top to roof top is probably the smartest one. Maybe he can tell me what the hell happend here"' I think to myself

I follow after him on the street.

Zelda rolled her eyes at the Poe's antics. "oh come on! Is that the best you can do? Your ghosts, scare me already!" her foot began to tap as she impatiently. "Would you just leave already! Or get on with the kidnapping?! I've got things to do, an escape to plan."

IC: I moved forward. My feet moveing in coplete sync with each other. I felt the wind pass by the top of my nose and around my eyes the parts I did not have covered. I then did one bound and lept into the air. The wind pushed against my pants which in turn brushed against my legs and I felt as though I was flying instead of falling.

I saw the next roof aproach. I moved both legs forward. The roof top came beneath them and I made contact with the ground. I then let my momentum carrying me, rolling over my right shoulder. I then pressed down against the ground and pushed up with arms to stand. "I think thats enough roof tops for now."

I walked over to the edge of the building and gazed down. I was little more then two storys up now. I looked back over the last five roofs I jumped. "It's odd that the builinds get progresively shorter there. It's almost like being in a video game." I gazed down at a blue canvas out infront of the restrount I was standing on. "Do you think that will hold my weight Lee." 'No clue,' "If your going to say I'm fat say it Lee. 'No, I ment I'm not shure how durable the meterail is.' "I wasn't serious. Hmm, I guess there is only one way to find out."

I lept off the side of the building. With a little luck I can bounce right off this thing and make a graceful landing on to the street. My left foot was the first to make contact and I felt the solidness of the tarp, but that only added to my suprise as my foot passed right threw the thing. In an efort to make the fall as soft as possible I moved into the classic three point landing stance. First one foot then the next fallowed by a hand. It didn't matter in the end what saved my life was the table I landed on.

I stood back up. The now broken table beneth my feet. "And this is why I'm takeing streets the rest of the way." I began to run down the road.

Zurn got off of the bus, looking at the city of Hyrule. It looked more wonderful than he had ever imagined. Lights, and stores, and buildings almost to the twinkling lights above, now barely visible since so much light poured out before him
It still had the visibilities of the ancient city it grew out of. There was a large wall on the outer edge, and the gate in the middle. It closed just after him, one of the rituals of the old place.
The gates always closed at dark.
One would have to wait until dawn before they could get in again. He wondered what it would be like to wait for hours and hours, until light came out from the east.
There was no water.
As a Zora, that was one of the first things he noticed. A stream, nothing big surrounding the area, but nothing inside. He didn't see a lake or anything. How did these people live?
Hyrulians were just different.
Zurn began walking through the streets, more or less going north, in the direction of the castle that loomed out on the horizon.
Zelda would be there.

I follow him on the ground until he comes to a 2 story building. He stops and make's a jump down onto a tarp and goes right through. He stand's up and start's running away.

"Hey you, could you please stop running for a little bit. I have been following you for awhile now and I got some questions", I say inbetween my huffs and puffs

The Poes began to shuffle the furniture around Zelda, creating a crude cage for her. They countinued their howls as one of them approached Zelda and laughed in her face.

Dust was kicked up by Link as he speed through the woods, the dirtbike sailing over potholes and hills. He was on his way to the city of Hyrule.

He looked at his right arm and smiled, silently thanking Rando once again. It had come as a shock when he gave him the note and Rando came back with one of the new, arm mounted hookshots. The construction workers used these to reach the heights of the buildings that they were building. Link had to pass a test before her could leave for his journey, but all it involved was scaling the skeleton of the new building with his newly acquired item. After thanking Rando for his generosity, he was off.

He had the bike up to full throtle, and was now leaving the woods.... the green and brown blurs of oak and pines now giving way to the lush green and clear blue of a open meadow on a sunny day. It only took ten minutes to leave behind his home to get here, but it would take an additional hour to reach the city, and that was without slowing down. He knew he had to stop and get gas a little later, and was glad Rando also gave him a wallet filled with not only with Hyrule paper money, but some Rupees as well.

As he zoomed across the open field, he saw numerous types of monsters roaming about, and was glad that not only did his mother give him the crossbow, but for the sword of the dead moblin now strapped to his back.

Speaking of moblins, a group tried to ambush him just a little after leaving Rando... they were different than the ones that attacked him at school. While those looked like nothing more than walking pigs, these new ones were larger and meaner.... and they had the appearence of a bulldog. He was glad he zipped right through them, but wondered how the construction workers were faring against them.

After an hour and fifteen minutes of riding (he had to menuver around more monsters and stop and get gas), he finally saw the city when he went over a large hill. As he gazed at its skyline.... he wondered what sort of adventures were in store for him.

IC: I had been running for quite a while. And for the last three miles or so a Goron. I was wondering why it was fallowing me. A big person like that. Could it be that he is heading to the same place as me? No why would he? Unless he got the same message as Lee. But that isn't likely, after all I didn't get the message, and he would have to be better then me. Still besides the faries I don't think there are any people that good.

'Hey you will you stop running now. I've been fallowing you for some time now and I got some questions.' I stop, and he dose like wise after walking a bit closer. "I got an important task ahead of me. So if you can't ask me them while I'm runing the you won't be able to ask them." A slight look of suprise came on his face when he first herd my voice. Maybe he didn't relise I was a girl. After all I've conceled just about my entire body with clothing. I turn around and begin to run once more. "If you can keep up ask the questions other wise stay here."

My farie looked up at me. 'Think you can be any more cold.' "I wasn't really trieing to be cold." I didn't notice weather or not the goron started after me.

...One year ago...

I aproached a treasure shest on a pedistol. A single colum of light shined down upon it. 'It's about time you get here Cresent and this temple shouldn't even of been hard to move around in.' "Oh it's so kind of you to point that out Lee." 'Any time now open the chest.'

I open the chest. The lid flips open and I look inside. "What the hell is this Lee. I did all this work for a chain and a key." 'Relax, these where the possesions of Kira the greatest bandit that ever lived.' "So some dead girls things are going to help me. You are one crazzy farie." 'They will. The chain and key are magic.'

I was about to say I didn't beleave in magic but I am talking to a farie so that made that comment seem stupid. "Okay Lee. So, what do they do." 'The chain extends to 10 times it's size and can scure itself around alost any object. Its also amazeingly acurate.' "Ten times its size? that isn't much the chain only seems to be three feet long. What dose the key do?" 'It opens any lock.' "And this girl is called the greatest theif. Well thats a little undeserveing I'd call the key the greatest theif that ever lived." I ran my fingers down and across the lion head of the key. I'll have to be carefull not to lose this. Geting to this chest would of been so much easier if had these things to begin with. After all I only wnet threw 20 locked doors or so trieing to gewt this stupid thing. "Thank you Lee. So um, how do we get out?"

Zelda frowned at the crude cage the Poe's had constructed out of furniture. " Well that was pointless, I'm already locked up you morons!" When one had the audacity to laugh in her face she instinctivly slapped it hard across the face. The Poe spun in a full circle backing away as it spun. "Don't you start laughing at me you little prick. It will only serve to make me angry and you don't want me angry! Now I will give you my last warning. Get on with it or leave!"

I start to run after the person. I roll up into a ball and start gaining speed. As I get nearer and nearer to him I unball myslef and start taking a nice pace.

"Ok well then, What the hell happend here. There are creatures all around this place and people getting killed left to right. As for your question I am probably going to the same place. Don't tell me you had a freaky ass dream too"

Cresent Flame

IC: I contiuned to run for another few feet. Then I herd some rumbleing behind me. I turned around and the goron had rolled into a ball in order to ketch up to me. Sheesh it's a good thing I'm not trying to sneek around yet. Now how do I get this guy to leave me alone. Oh what is a girl to do?

'Ok well then, What the hell happend here. There are creatures all around this place and people getting killed left to right. As for your question I am probably going to the same place. Don't tell me you had a freaky ass dream too.'

"I don't know what happened but evil is on the lose. And I won't tell you I had the same freacky dream. That answer your question? If so bye." Dang Lee is right I am being rude to this guy. Oh well.

There were monsters everywhere. People were doing their best to fight off the beasts, but some were being mutilated. He wanted to stop and help, but the police and national guard were doing a good job of helping out the populace.

Link stopped long enough to ask a police officer where the prison was. The female officer politely pointed towards a large structure that resembled an old castle. He thanked the officer and zoomed towards it.

He came to a fourway crossing, and the road to the prison was blocked by some wrecked cars. To right of it was a ramp he could hit to jump over it, but it would be dangerous. While contemplating wether or not to make the jump, he saw a fast moving person leap from building to building above him up the road. When he looked on the road, he saw a Goron giving chase to it.

He then decided that if someone would take the risk of jumping across tall buildings, then he could make this ramp jump work. Reving the engine, he left a smoke trail as he speed down the street, over the ramp, through the air, and landing (albeit roughly) past the cars and onto the street ahead. His engine whined as he kicked into full throtle, gaining ground on the Goron and acrobat.

The poe retreated out the window, returing to the graveyard to see that Kackle had returned to his grave. Not sure of what to do, the poe did the same.

There were parts that looked so modern. Skyscrapers and new fashioned buildings supporting all of the conceptual art that made it dazzling to the eye. The wonders of technology fully upon Zurn as he couldn't help but stare in awe.
Other parts still had cobbled streets, even dirt ones. The old districts kept up local shops, little stores that sold different wares, pots, masks, and so forth.
In either one he saw few people, if none at all. The only thing that kept into his vision were strange shadows from time to time. Figured inside the back alleys that crept up to him, by the time he turned around though, he didn't see a thing.
Only the dark of night, inside the incessant pool of Hyrule.
He walked past another street. A small pile of vehicles, cars and trucks, splattered about in the center of one street. Next to it, a man with a caged truck has it on its side, and was chasing chickens all over the place.
Moving to the other side to avoid a whole herd of feather fowl, Zurn keeps on his ever present journey north.
Chickens.
Shiver.

IC: I finally came to the prison. It looked so much older then the rest of hyrule. In contrast to the current convence of modern liveing this thing apeared to be anchent. Large stone wall toped with razor wire. However this prison had to make use of electricty, cameras and the like. Or else it wouldn't be much of a prison.

I felt safe. I was wearing gloves so I wouldn't leave finger prints. My face was covered so in the unlikely so they can't tell who I am. With the magic key I should be able to move around in there with no trouble. I'd say I'm pretty safe in comiting my plan. Find Zelda get the location of the triforce and kill her. Couldn't be any simpler. Only one problem, how the hell do I get over that wall? Prehaps I should of stayed on the roof tops.

I continue to follow him and we arrive at a prison. I watch as he tries to look for a place to get over the wall. I walk over to the front gates and notice that there aren't any guards in the towers. I try to force open the gate but it just won't give. I reach into my bag and pull out a small bomb. I place it just above the lock and light the fuse. I run backa few feet and watch as the bomb explodes and take the lock apart.

"Hey I think the front door's open"

Zelda sneered at the retreating Poes before smiling in satisfaction. Poes were just pests not really something she worried about. However she was worried about what ever sent the poes. Who was behind this sudden burst of evil in the land. She shook her head, she would worry about it later. First she had to find a way out of here and to the hero of time.

Cresent Flame

IC: I studyed my problem a bit longer. The goron that seemed to of stayed with me, began to go around a corner. Several moments latter. I herd an explosion. I ran to see what it was. The Goron just blew a hole open in the door. 'hey I think the front door is open.'

My mouth droped in shock. I didn't know what was more supriseing the fact that the door wasn't gaurded or the fact that this guy just blew open the door. "Well I'm shure well have plenty of gaurds running after us now."

I bolted in threw the door fallowed by my farie. Well any stealth advantage I had well now be gone. But atleast I'm inside. I'm shure that they are going to send as many gaurds as possible thinking that its one of those monsters running about.

I watch as the guy comes running around the corner and gives me a open jaw expression. He says something to me and bolts through the hole and into the compound.

I step in after him and follow as close behind as I then notice that this is a prison. I watch as the spotlights and sirens start to wail. In the distance I can her the beaing of dogs and the master's yelling at them.

I watch as he gains more and more ground on me until he is out of sight.

Cresent Flame

IC: Don't be an idiot. Right I'm running on the outside of the prison. If I stay here they'll find me for shure. I need to unlock one of these door and go threw it. Beisdes it's noy like they'd stick Zelda on the first floor next to the wall. She has to be towards the heart of the prison, and probably up a floor or two.

'How ironic.' "What Lee?" 'They put Zelda in here to portect her from an asaination. But you came her to kill her.' "It has to be done." 'Who are you trying to convince? Me or you?' I wish I knew Lee I wish I knew.

Link saw and heard the explosion the Goron made. Where there once was a heavy, steel door there was now what could almost pass for scrap metal. He saw the second, smaller figure enter the grounds of the building. Sirens and dog barks cut through the air like a knife.

He zoomed up to the outer wall, put the kick stand down, and walked up behind the Goron. "Nice kaboom bro," he said patting him on the back, "Now..... can you please move aside... I really need to get in there."
