Legend Of Zelda: Future Atonement

Cresent Flame

IC: Planting both of my feet firmly in the ground, I pull back on the chain. The dragons hed moves back slightly before it truely began to resist. Then bowing forward I found myself thrown over its head my legs slaming into the ceiling and then crashing to the ground. The sound of bones giveing way to the incredable presure exerted by this dragons weight and power.

I felt the remeins of one of the skelatons underneth me. My plan now was to get my chain back and run like hell. I got rid of one of the skeletons that was enough.

I stood up and was looking to see how I should flick my wrist to get the chain to let go. Then the dragon flicked it's head to the left and I once again was airborn. I swung all the way around its back and then infrotn of it again. My feet knocking over the second skeleton.

I looking up at the dragon I found that my chain had wraped around its neck. This was my chance. I got up on my feet as fast as I could and ran around it once more. Now my chain firmly locked around it's neck I pulled back the slack and used the dragons own body for leverage as I strangled it.

The dragon reared up and the second dragon ran out of its way. The beast slamed it's feet into the ground wich was a mistake both of it's front legs had become in the holes they made. The dragons neck was pulling as hard as it could to try break the grip. But the chain was wraped in such a way that it only became tighter. Finnally after several minutes the dragon passed out.

I slid to the ground and began to untangle my chain from around it's neck. Then I sat there lieing against the unconcous body of the dragon. After I had begun to catch my breath I dicided it was best to leave before the dragon wakes up.

I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. I stood up to see what it was. My mace was tight in my grip now. The second skeleton was there armed with both it's sheild and a sword. "I think I better get going now." I ran threw one of the doors the Goron had knocked down.

Link and his troupe ran down the halls. Link was worried about leaving the other woman behind, the one who told them to run. He told Jinx and Zelda to hold up while he went back to get her. He made a 180, and raced back down the corridor.

When he was in the hall in which he met her, all he found was an unconscious dragon. He would've looked around some more, but that's when some more skeletons decided to make an appearence. He then high-tailed it out of there.

"Zelda," he siad to the blond when he returned to his traveling companions, "I don't have time to explain, but Jinx and I are her to save you. You need to come with us.... thrust me," he pleaded.

He knew Gorons in rolling forms could keep up with his bike, so they needed to get going, but not before he knew that Zelda would come along willingly.

Zurn looked up at the blood red eyes and dripping fangs of the huge spider above him. The thing wanted to jump at him. He held himself poised, just watching and waiting.
The ice crystals on the webbing gleamed, showing his trap now in place.
"Come on," he whispered, below the spider, standing in harms way. The spider needed to attack him, if he could get away. The battle would be won.
The spider dove. A bird of prey moving down with a hurried force. For a moemnt, this started Zurn, as he took a step back. He leapt backwards, unable to do anything else. If he moved to either side, his leg would have still beren within striking distance.
The sword clattered to the ground as he rolled once, and then poised himself to get up once more.
The spider fell to the ground, his footing slipping. He tried to move back onto the web, but the frozen web didn't give him anything to work with, and he fell back onto his engorged back.
Zurn searched in desperation for his sword. Eyes glancing around the pavement, until a glint of metal caught his eye.
He reached for it, already running towards the beast.
The spider rocked back once, and flipped upright, its legs getting under it for support. Zurn didn't hesitate, he held the sword in both hands. It rose up in the air. He let it fall just as the spider scrambled for him, falling right into his head.
Between two beady eyes that screamed at him.
A sickening black and yellow pus boiled from the wound, as the spider immeditately went limp. He fell before Zurn's sword, already dead.
He took out a rag, to clean the spider's insides from his sword. A magnificient job, if he did say so himself.
Absolutely magnificient.
He ran up to where he had seen the two guards patrolling earlier, but no one stood there now. The gates stood close, but with a simple climb he was passed them.
He moved up to the building, unsure why things were so quiet.
Had something happened?

Before I know hats going on I am running out of the room followed by Zelda and Link. Link tell me and Zelda to wait and make's a mad dash back from we where we had just come. Less then a few seconds later he comes running back.

He explained to Zelda that we were there to save them. Before she could respond I grab here and throw her over my shoulder.

"If you don't want to be chopped up by bonesey back there I think you should come with us."

Haveing moved down the hall quite a distance I was begining to think about staying my ground and fighting. I was sore and tired but at the same time the skeleton was right behind me.

"I have no choice." I pick up my mace ready to fight. The cool sweat on my body contrasrts the buring pain. I had to balance and stand. Before it was a matter of falling forward and catching myself now I had chosen to fight.

On the nice side Zelda should get away. After all theres nothing to chace her. I wonder what that drgon will do when it gets up. No it can't be smart enough to chace her.

As the pile of bones turns the corner I gather all the skill and power I have left. "This ends now." I rush forward and in one quick swoop, remove it's head. The remaining bones fall to the floor. "And now to leave."

I open the door next to me. If I rember corectly it's the set of stairs I came up. I take three steps on unbalanced feet and stop. I was looking right at the Senator for Hyrule. "What are you doing here?"

Behind him I see several skeletons and moblins. 'This isn't Zelda keep searching.' He adresses them then me. 'What are you doing here?' "You know what? I didn't vote for you." I lift up my mace. "I took out your dragon, your Moblins, and your skeletons Now I'll tak you on."

He walks up to me and I was about to swing my mace at him. 'I think you are to tired to fight me girl.' He pushes me over and I fall to the ground. 'You two take her. The rest of you go after Zelda.' I closed my eyes and prepared myself for death.

I lead the way, dispatching of any lone monster foolish enough to cross our paths.

I can hear Jinx thromping around behing me, with a angry Zelda over his shoulder yelling about how undignified this was. "Um... no offense, Zelda... but could you keep it down... your attacting the attention of those monsters," I tell you while looking over my shoulder.

I try to find the best way out, hearing the footsteps of large monsters coming for us. "We need to leave... you know where the exit is Zelda?"

IC: My eyes felt so heavy but I was to tired to care. I felt that I was tron on some ones shoulder and carried but I lacked the power to open my eyes. I was thrown into a carage as I saw it. I didn't manage to open my eyes. I knew it was a carraige based on the feel of soft cusions under me and how it seemed to move. Still I barly found the strength to care before I fell asleep.

It would be a long ride me and me alone.

It took time to trek across the front yard that entranced to the castle. Guards ever so often ran off in a certain direction, making him pause to draw his sword.
None of them saw him, none of them were even trying to look for him. He felt that they were on more urgent missions, leaving him well enough alone to his own affairs. Still, he didn't want to be seen.
Just in case.
He traversed up to the castle, but didn't feel a front attack would prove much. Instead, he moved to the back, where there could possibly be another way inside. One not guarded well as the front entrance.
He walked behind into the darkened courtyard. It was there he saw a whole group of soldiers, all moving in on one carriage.
He stayed low against the wall, unsure as to this little meeting.
They carried something limp in their arms. A person, by the hair it looked like a female.
Zelda!
He knew it had to be her. He couldn't overtake the guards now, they outnumbered him by many. Instead, he kept close to the road now, still hidden within the shadows.
It wasn't until most of the soldiers left in different directions, that he moved towards the carriage. At that time though, it began to leave, through the entrance he had just climbed over.
With careful ease, he caught one of the railings, holding on for dear life.
There was a guard or two inside, he glanced in, seeing a few shadows in the darkened belly of the carriage. A driver too.
Climbing on top of the thing, he watched as they began to move through the city, taking the main roads which had been freed of most monsters. Occasionally something from the dark would look out at them.
In an instant he threw the driver from his mount, grabbing a hold of the reigns. The horses obeyed, as if nothing happened. From the quiet behind him, the guards didn't know a thing either.
Excellent.
Something hard hit him on the side of the head. He struggled just to keep his balance, his hands trying to grab hold of anything it could.
The guard held a large staff, bringing it down for another blow.
Zurn jumped. He caught the side door of the carriage just in time, before falling to the hard street below them.
The guard had a look of surprise, but it only lasted a minute. He brought the staff up once again.
Zurn opened the door. It flailed out, rotating around its hinges. The staff fell short, but he hung on with dear might as he saw the only thing stopping him from a horribly fall was this one door.
He pushed off the hinge, and as it came to a close, his feet came up to meet the guard's chin.
The man fell off, joining the driver behind them.
Zurn didn't have time to celebrate. Before he knew what was happening, he was pulled into the window. The gruff man held dull steel against his temple.
"One of her friends, you stupid ignorant fool. You'll die too."
Zurn growled, but held it at bay for the moment. The man had a gun. He could see the glint from the lights outside which now passed at an alarming rate.
"The horses," he said, "No one is driving them."
The man looked, just for a moment. It was all Zurn needed. He grabbed the wrist, holding it far from his own body. They both struggled for posession of the weapon. Zurn didn't want to kill him exactly, but he didn't want to die either.
Zelda needed him.
He pushed back, drawing the man with him. As he lunged forward, they both pressed against the door. It popped open from their force, and the man fell off, rolling to the side. Zurn held onto the door once more, saved by only the grit of his teeth.
He closed it just before a shot rang out.
Two more followed, but they were wild.
He had done it.
The horses!!
He looked out to the front, watching as the channel to the river came closer and closer. They were going to crash into it. Without thought, he grabbed a hold of the limp body, pressing it close to him.
Zurn jumped.
It hurt his back, but he took most of the blow from the fall himself. He splayed on the ground, Zelda held in his arms, watching the horses drive the carriage into the murky water below.
In the poor light, he brushed a few strands from the princess's face.
"Zelda? Zelda... are you all right?"
Had she been drugged? They must had eithe drugged her, or hit her over the head. Those bastards, he would deal with them soon enough.
"Over here!"
Zurn got to his feet, carrying her in his arms. They had to leave, find someplace more suitable so he could try and help her.
He disappeared into the shadows, looking for a place to hide.

Zelda followed the pointy earred boy yelling her displeasure about this whole deal until he pointed out the monsters she was attracting. Well let them come! She would take out her frustrations on them! Muttering under her breath she glanced around their location. They were near the exit actually. Something flitted by her shoulder and she glanced up at the fairy who had abandoned the other woman to follow them. Dismissing the fairy she turned back to the boy. "Yes I know the way out. Follow me." then as dignified as she could she took off down the hallway not bothering to wait for her rescuers.

IC: I found myself in a circle of light suronded by darkness complete and total darkness. "Where am I?" 'In your dreams young girl.' "Who are you?" 'I am the lord of Darkness.' "Get out of my mind!" I did not train for three years to have evil posses me. 'I won't do that. You see you have the strength to beat a unicorn. I thought that type of skill had passed on in this world.'

"It did! I beat it by dumb luck so show your self and I'll do the same to you." 'Fire.... Ha you could do much.' "Fire? Damn your behind the times allmost every bo says that to me." 'Do not anger me!"

'Now why do you seek Zelda?' "I don't know maybe the triforce." 'You dare Mock me.' "Well it's the highest form of flatery and all... SO no you don't deserve it." 'Courage hmm a powerfull foe it beat me once before. Why do you sek the triforce?' "Same reason you do, Power." 'Then I shall give you power... in exchange for your services. More power then you can dream.' "I'd dream the power of the Triforce and thats more the you promis me."

'You won't get the triforce for all you know your dead.' He's right maybe I can use him. 'You can't.' "I can and I will." 'You aren't very bright.' "Watch your mouth." 'Ally with me or die now.' I can't die yet no matter what happens. 'You will have power and will retrive the triforce.' I have no choice but to join.

"Fine. What do I do sign a contract in blood?" 'The deal is made I will not harm you. Behold your Mark as my servent.' "Mark?" I felt a sudden sting on my shoulder a black crest was there on my shoulder. At that point I relised I was naked. "I need clothing."

... Awake...
'Zelda...' I open my eyes wide awake now. "No you have the wrong person." I looked at myself I was still fully dressed in the same out fit I was always wearing. I gazed at the long sleeve but was suprised to see I still felt nude and volnerable. What had I just done?

"It's better to just rest."
Zurn moved to her, pulling the sheets over her once more. He had been taking careo f her for a few hours now. After the guards had begun to comb the place, he snuck into this abandoned building. A small fire of newspapers and other material crackled enough for heat.
"Don't talk, save your strength. I'm not sure what they gave you, but it was pretty strong. You've been muttering in your sleep, strange things, I don't know, but it was weird... almost like you were talking to someone."
He had a damp towel, wiping her forehead with it.
"The guards are still on the lookout, but they won't find us tonight. I think they have more important things to worry about. We're safe until morning. I fugre, then, we can try to leave the city, get out of danger for a while."
He shook his head, finding he was trailing off. He didn't work very well with royalty. The first time he had ever met anyone famous.
"Just rest. I'll make sure nothing happens tonight. I promise you."

IC: A Zora, hmm. I was talking in sleep? I wonder what I said. Best not bring that up I don't want him thinking about till the point he decids I'm working with Ganon which I am not. A cold breeze passes by and once more I feel exposed and volnerable.

"For future refrence I'm not Zelda." 'Go to the lost montins....' I lok around to see wear the voice was comeing from but there was no one there. I loked at the Zora and he was watching me. I felt like he was stareing at me judgeing my body, but he couldn't be, my outfit vertully coneils me being a giril when I wear the hood and wrap the cloack across my face.

Zora moved back towards the fire, grabbing up a few scraps to add onto it. He had, over the past hour, apart from making a comfortable place for her to lie, also gotten a pretty big pile of lumber for the fire. Assorted boards and wood panelling, mostly, it did the trick.
He felt warmer. He hoped she did too.
His eyes, filled with a certain doubt when she asked him not to call her Zelda. The momentary lapse failed him, as he put on another piece of wood, watchignt he sparks rise into the upper rafters.
Then he understood. Of course she didn't want to be called Zelda. The guards were hunting for a Zelda, and if she kept herself so well hidden, like she did now, they would never know it's her, and both of them could slip away from here.
Somewhere safer, where they could meet up with allies.
"I understand," he said, sitting down next to her, "My name is Zurn. We should leave at first light, try to get out of the city. Do you know where you want to go first? Is there any place safe? I would take you back to my village, but it is so far away, and I know no one who could help with such a problem."
This was big, bigger than anything he had ever been in before. He hoped he could protect her. With his sword, and his skills, he knew he would do his best.
The future must be protected.
"Are you thirsty, hungry? I have food and drink, if you feel up to it..."

IC: Why do I fell so vulnerable? Is this ganons influence on me? No he dosen't even have influence on me, I agreed with him only to throw him off my trail. 'Did you now?' I looked around to see where the voice comeing from. No where. I wonder if any understands whats going threw my head.

'I understand.' I looked at my blue savior. Could he read my mind. No his expresion tells me his mind is in some far off place that has nothing to do with me.

'My name is Zurn. We should leave at first light, try to get out of the city. Do you know where you want to go first? Is there any place safe? I would take you back to my village, but it is so far away, and I know no one who could help with such a problem.' 'Go to the lost montain....' I looked around again. I must fo bumped my head. 'Tell him, tell him...'

'Are you thirsty, hungry? I have food and drink, if you feel up to it...' I looked at Zurn. "Yea I should probably eat something my head isn't together right now." 'Lost montain.' Damn it why do I keep on hereing things? 'Now! Tell him Now!' "How about the lost montain range. Just beyond death montain." Now shut up! 'Good my servent.' "I'll never serve you Ganon." 'The deal is already made.' Zurn was looking at me.

I sat up and placed my hands across my legs. "I will never serve him." I then thought to myself about all that has happened so fast. I felled in my mision I was to destroy Zelda. I was to find out what she knew and destroy her. I didn't do it though.... I felled in my first job.

"The lost mountain..." He had t double check. For a moment he saw something on her face, doubt maybe, or fear? It might had just been the flicker of the fire, for when he looked again, it was gone.
"Of course. That sounds like the place to go first of all."
She must have friends, or allies ready to help there. The others who had the dream were sure to follow them, wherever they go.
He handed her one of his canteens, moving away so he could let her sleep.
"I'll wake you in first light. We can sneak out of the city before anyone notices. Don't worry, I'll protect you."
He sat at the edge of the fire, feeling its warmth envelope him.

IC: Dream: 'Your disobeying orders. I wouldn't do that if I where you.' "Of coarse you wouldn't your not me." 'It just puts stress on your mind. You'll go crazzy and I don't have a need for a new mindless minon. Your more valuble to me alive unerstand.' "Look I'm not one of your minons you can't order me around." 'You are now. Tomorow you won't be chalenged by my men. However there is a powerful beast in the castle you'll find there.' "What make you think I'm going there?" 'You don't have a choice. Get there and destroy the beast.'

"If I recall right it's called the lost mountin for a reason. How am I going to even get to the cave?" 'I'll guide you there along with that Zora. He'll be usefull to me aswell.'

Link and Jinx followed Zelda through the crisscrossing halls. It all looked the same to him, yet Zelda seemed to know where they were going. They took a left, then a right, followed by two more lefts then straight through the door and into the waning afternoon light.

"Ahh... such a beautiful sight..... remind me if I live through this to take the time to watch every sunset," he looked at his new companions.... who just stared at him blankly. "Nevermind."

They exited through the blasted front gate, and then came to a sudden halt. Zelda asked why he stopped, and Jinx echoed.

Link stood there.... almost as if in a trance. His eyes flicked all around, as if looking a something the others couldn't see. And he was.... he saw the Dark Ranges, the girl with red hair, a Zora, and the Senator... all zoomed past him in a blinding blur of light and colors. So wrapped up in this revelation that he didn't even notice a new scar forming on his right hand.... strangely, it started to resemble three triangles that formed one triangle. He probably would have stood there for eternity... had it not been for Jinx giving him an extremly hard waking up shake. "Huh? Oh... sorry," and he continued on without another word.... for two seconds "DAMMIT! MY BIKE!"

The troupe looked at his vehical.... or what remained of it. It was nothing more than a smoldering heap now.

Link didn't know what to do... Epona was his and Zelda's ticket out of town... Jinx could've kept pace with it rolling along side them.... now they were screwed.

He looked away from his father's third love (the first and second being his mom and himself).... and noticed something. It was a Microbus... sure, it needed a paint job, but other than that, it looked completely ok. In fact, it almost seemed to have a halo of gold around it from the setting sun. Link sprinted to it, and found that not only was the door unlocked, but the keys were still in it.... and with a full tank of gas no less!!! He cranked that puppy up, grinned when he heard it turn over, and called out "Pile in, everyone! Next stop is Dark Ranges!"

Zelda's mind ran a million miles an hour. Something was happening, the triforce was in danger she could feel it. Even as she stepped onto the bus her face was caught in a frown and her eyes stared off into the distance. Oh how she wished she could find the hero of time. Then everything would work out. She glanced at the boy, he seemed to be lost in thought as well. Oh well she would find the hero soon or she would face the evil herself.

I follow Zelda and Link out of the prison. I notice Link go into a trance and give him a good shaking. As we look for his bile we find it a smoldering pile of nothing.

I watch as Link makes a dash for a Microbus and start it up

'Pile in, everyone! Next stop is Dark Ranges!'

I follow Zelda and squeeze into the back seats area. I back out and grab the seat and start tugging at it.

"Dang nabit,Ling you got anything I can pry this seat out with?"

IC: We had been walking threw this Dark Range for miles now. Night was quickly comeing upon us. As we moved higher and higher up this steep peack the sunset was delayed longer and longer always seemeing to be at the same point in time.

Perspecitve, every thing was a mater of perspective. We were moveing in sink with the sun that maintianed our perspective. The perspecitve of me changes. I feel good at heart but I was going to kill Zelda. That from a difrent angle apears to be evil. Now that I made a deal with ganon have I become evil. 'Evil no. Smart yes. You'll live because your actions. Those you claim are good will die for theres.' Leave my head Ganon.

After working at it for about 10 minutes, Link and Jinx where able to tear out the entire backseat, giving the Goron much needed breathing room.

Link crawled back into the driver's seat, listening to Zelda snap her seat belt on. Thrusting the key into the ignition once more, he fired up the engine, and they were off, heading Northeast to the mountains.

"Ok.... we're going to need money for food and lodgings.... and I'm flat busted. Do either of you have any rupees or rupeenotes on you?" he ask. It would take them at least two days to reach the mountains.... if they were to take back roads so that they could avoid any police that might wonder why they were hauling the Presidents daughter in an old microbus.

Zurn adjusted the weigh in his pack, hoping it would stop from sticking into his side. His back had one worn spot, that he felt almost certain had a blister. As he moved it, the protrusion went from sticking into one part of his back to another.
Giving off a silent sigh, he continued on, following after Zelda. She felt so determined as she walked. It reminded him when he came to save her. The look on her face, as if being drove by some will of force.
She moved at an incredible pace, even in this rougher terrain and high elevations. His skin clung to him, it tightened against him giving off an almost leathery feeling. He didn't like touching it. It was just so different from his glossy smooth skin of before. He had been out of the water, and these touch conditions weren't helping much.
He took out his canteen, pouring a bit onto his arms, and rubbing it in. It felt a bit better.
He needed to take a nice long swim somewhere.
"Excuse me," he caught up with her stride, walking alongside, "I was wondering where exactly we are going. Are there other forces out here, someone else who can help us?"

Cresent

IC: 'Well there be forces to help us.' "Yes." There are more forces on both sides. I knew that and he now knows that. Sadly what he feels to see is that I'm on the other side. I feel sorry for him. Chances are Ganon intends to have me leave him dead in a ditch.

'Good motivation to not get attach.' Didn't I tell you not to get in my head. 'Rember your my minion and not the other way around.' I'm no ones minion. I feel a sharp pain on my arm but it lasts only a second. 'Fine your my soldier then. Now just over the next ridge is the Lost castle of the water.'

As we move over the next ridge I can't help but to admire my comrade. He has fallowed me blindly for several days. It takes alopt to show that kind of faith. Still he should of noticed not a single Moblin has attacked us on this trip. Something that isn't likely to happen to Zelda.

I felt a cold breeze pass by me as I gazed at this castle for the first time. It had two waterfalls one on each side of the entrance. Natral springs feed it most likely. There was a small moat with a bridge leading up to it.

Zora stopped as he looked upon the castle nestled deep within the range they had been climbing for the past few days. He couldn't help but stare at the beauty and serenity it gave to the whole area. It must have taken years and year to build.
The moat and the waterfall added to its picturesque view, he drew in a breath, moving towards it with a renewed vigor.
What had been forming in his mind, mewling over a few theories, had been that this would be her relatives, uncles or distant cousins that were willing to sedn their armies over. As the castle began to loom over them now, he was almost positive.
They didn't just give out castles, someone rich and powerful held his position inside.
Zora was happy to have gotten the princess through all of this turmoil to arrive safe. He had fulfilled part of his destiny, and her wish to him.
She was safe, and now they could go destroy the evil inside Hyrule.
Following her closely now, he proceeded to the castle, curious to see what was inside.

Zelda finally snapped out of her own thoughts just in time to hear Link ask about money. She shrugged "Don't worry about Rupee's I'm the presidents daughter after all. I've got that taken care of. However there is one thing. Now that we are out of the danger can you please tell who you people are?"
