I had no idea my comment about y'all sounding similar would lead to so many comments but here is how I came to that conclusion.

I often listen to audio clips posted on this thread and while doing that look at other threads.

So anyway the other day I was doing that and when the audio clip finished and I clicked back here to load another audio clip I was taken aback because I thought I was listening to @LostHorizon
and it was actually a clip from @TXRafe

Anyway that's my story.

I never said y'all sound alike, I was just giving suggestions as to why someone might hear a similarity.

You’re not from Cork. That’s what we all laugh about here in the US.
I live in a city with a terrible local accent and slang. People have written theses on it. No shit.

I learned a lot of dialects when I was a voice student. I never could get the Aussie "O" sound...no and hour shouldn't rhyme jk

Just something so proper abut it lol

That would definitely depend on where in the empire you are hearing them. A East London cockney girl hits different from a classy RP lady or a raunchy Glasgow lass....I'm partial to the South African English female accent closely followed by that classy with an edge Cultivated Strine in Sydney
