More rambling on accents from someone with a boring one.

PNW ‘accents’ are the platonic ideal of American accents.
I’m not sharing my voice in the thread, but i am from a place with a very specific and mocked accent - which I spent my life trying to avoid, and grew up doing accents to the extent my parents thought I should go into voice acting. That obviously didn’t pan out, and now I’m an old lady with a growing regional accent because I can’t fight it anymore.

More likely a mineral salt deposit the founder's Paint horse liked or perhaps the way the colors of the local fauna looked but I like your explanation better ...it definitely fits
