The 5,000 posts per thread before closing and starting a new one .... still a thing?

Still can't edit Profiles, unless the Story side one carries over here now?

XF has the ability to Hide/Ignore forum sections, but I don't see it as an option here. Yet.

I couldn't find a place to edit either. Was so hoping to update

Interesting new system! I also own a large vB 4.xx forum (not related to Lit or erotica) - so I'll be interested to observe XenForo. And - I have an idea of the amount of work you've undertaken to get to this point!

Sorry for the confusion.

If you look at a forum thread list, there should be two different clickable links.
For example, here:
https://forum.literotica.com/forums/authors-hangout.3/

There is the thread title:
Literotica Authors and Their Books (For Literotica Authors ONLY)
And then to the right or below (depending on page width) there is the date of the latest post (with the author name below it):
Sunday at 4:24 AM

If you click on the Thread Title, it should take you to the first post in that thread which you had yet to read (first unread post).

If you click on the date of the most recent post, it should take you to the last post in the thread.

Please let me know if that works and thank you for the feedback.

I'll work on changing the Last Post date to blue on mobile so that it's more clear that it's clickable.

The ability to go to my first unread post in a thread is fundamental to navigating the forum, and I was not able to get either of the 2 above methods to get me there.

Am I missing something? How do I get to the first unread post in a thread..?

You can edit your profile. Go to your Account Details, then click on Lit Control Panel. You should see your biography there. That's the bio for both the story side & forum side now.

QQ : Any reason you didn't just upgrade to vB 5.x.x?

I've read it isn't very good, doesn't work very well, doesn't have a lot of support from VB and people generally don't like it.

Y-MXB I and a number of other users have been having huge issues getting in since the change. There is major issues for a few of us. I’ve managed to get in today by having another user reset my password on his device. I’m unable to change that password now but I’m okay with that. I also have to browse in private mode on my iPhone. It does not like normal mode safari, or chrome. It does not like my iPad at all whatever way I do try. Thanks to Laurel for working this one through with us.

Changing your AV is still not working, but I'm sure that will be fixed. Well at least I hope so. Having share buttons on pics or anything else you post on here is the worst, though. You can't stop people from copying and pasting, but Lit is now literally inviting people to share your posts on other platforms. This isn't facebook. What happens on Lit, should just stay on Lit. This is my biggest gripe.

I do have a lot of positive things to say about the new forum and for the most part, I'm getting used to it and I'm liking it. I really do appreciate the effort that the site owners are putting in to getting this forum to work right. I'm sure it is challenging for them. I just hope they can do something with the share buttons and to make this forum more secure and private. Especially for those who post in the picture threads.

That's too easy, send a PM to Laru asking her to delete it, that's how it's always been done.

Betcha' can't find the rules on prohibited content in Avatars either, can you?

i wish we could turn off individual avs. as for images popping up, that's something i have to be aware of...not the most appropriate if H's mum is sitting in the same room as us as we're scrolling through threads

I had to use 5 different proxy servers before I found 1 that I could log in on. All had inactive log in text boxes. There was just a blank space that you cannot type in.

Horrible format. Can’t delete old pm messages. Old format was much easier to use. This is a major step back.

Subscriptions-click under your name at top right and go to News Feed. That will show recent posts by everyone you follow

Thanks for the reply; when I click on “Newsfeed,” it says “your newsfeed is empty,” and I’m following dozens and dozens of threads….but my pms are there, so thanks for that….

Subscriptions are now Watched Threads. Go to forums - watched threads. News feed isn’t for threads you follow, but for people you follow

So far I really like the new forum. Thank you. Much needed. I’ve had a great tour guide.

I wish I could safely log in and out, change passwords etc, and use various devices and all other users who remain unable to get in could do so. I hope that will be fixed ASAP, but thank you for doing an important and much needed upgrade and I am certain it will be more secure for your users data security.



Also, I hope that dude gets rid of the cockatar.

That's still an issue that hasn't been addressed. It's on the punch list above somewhere .... ability to see, delete and re-use previously uploaded attachments.


It's available because I have it on at least one other XF board I use, directly under 'Reactions ..."

What's kind of interesting to me is that of the 1,500 or more members that have been signed on in the day and a half (over 400 on now), only 50 or so have posted here, either for or against.
