I believe, I think, in my opinion, are certain terms that are horridly redundant. To some, they confer humbleness to the author, while others use it to ascribe where certain knowledge is questionable. Some people habitually use one redundantly after the other.

My own preference, and sometimes those terms are redundantly used, or to infer humbleness, is not to use such terms. People zero in on the use of those terms as a weakness in any logic statement you make.

Anything you state is what you believe, is something you think (duh!), or is an opinion. Thereby leaving you to alternately single out something you say as quoting a source or questionable source; i.e. "I heard it's supposed to rain today," "I'm told that isn't true," or "wiki says..." which you use to say that even though you are stating it, it is really someone else that you are quoting and thereby may be either irrefutable or refutable.​

So...what do you think you believe is your opinion on the use of those terms?

So I think it is used by some in order to show civility and reason within an argument.

I understand both sides of the argument. I see the fun in meeting new people and enjoying them. I also see the beauty of meeting someone with whom you just click and you don't really want anyone else. This is often referred to as the Pmann Effect, by social scientists.
