I'm confused--why is Skyping "faked" and typing not?

Ya got the OP in the run ;)

Skyping because of the voice aspect, seems to be more of a fake. Where as typing, I think, the expectation isn't as strong. But should it be. Should a person ever be "allowed" to utter the words "I'm cumming" when no orgasm is occurring ;)

Doesn't that happen in bed all the time IRL, myself excluded. Why would cyber be any different?

Myself excluded as well, bring a tarp.....

That was I guess my question, does faking happen more on Lit than in real life. You guys will beat a good topic out of me yet ;)

Yes.

wait, who said that? *runs away

I don't think so.

Just because a relationship is in the physical world vs. the internet does not make it real.

I have seen friends that I know in my everyday life have relationships that were all a lie, fake.
Left them really bewildered.

Yeah. Sometimes your partner can act fully upon a chat but you can't. You want to make it as good a read as possible for her, and you can always reread later for your full enjoyment

I'd say it's more likely with IM than with Skype (faking I mean) since the temptation is there to simply write the fantasy as it should be.
Real life faking is lying IMO.
I'm not sure I would say the same about IM or typed exchanges. Does either party really think the other is doing/wearing exactly what they say they are? It's a fantasy even if 2 people are creating it together so if the culmination of that fantasy is something that isn't there in the flesh? So much of it wasn't to begin with that I doubt it matters so long as everyone is happy with the outcome.

Skyping is more along the lines of sharing the act of self pleasure so it's someplace in between.

Ultimately it's about each getting from the other what they sought out. Otherwise it won't keep happening at all, will it?

i need an education, how does a man fake it IRL?

It may sound gross but have you never heard of the old trick of Doggy style and warmed up yoghurt. I have heard of it being done.

Besides Do you really think all those money shots in Porn films are real? Some are a mixture of Egg whites and other things but I guess that's not real life either is it. :D

WHAT?????? Next you'll tell me Santa Claus doesn't exist ;)

Here's a question for Litiquette rules: Is is wrong to publicly humiliate a Litster for bumping a dead thread?

Dammit, I HATE it when people do that!

I don't know...I saw one bumped the other day from 2005. 2005 was the last post. 2005!!!

I resisted the urge to say anything and went on my merry way.
