This morning's topic: does your Lit personality match your real life personality? What would the conversation between an RL friend and a Lit friend go when they talk about you?

I'd say I'm fairly similar with people who know me. Not quite the same with those who don't know me as well, or around my family.
I'm not sure how the conversations between Lit friends and RL friends would go, but I reckon it would be fairly entertaining for all.

Good advice given by all. Though I do think its hard for newbies to catch on to that message. It's like telling a 4 year old that first walks into a candy store to slow down and look over everything. Lol. They just want to grab it all!

I'll add this nugget; if someone contacts you via pm and they don't post on the board then just delete. If they don't post you don't have the opportunity to see how they interact with others. 99% of the time it's a fake, a troll or just a loser. There are plenty of great guys and gals who participate. Join in somewhere and participate on the board and you'll get more out of this place.

I don't go on those often but I have avoided some people. I mostly worry about what the person below me will say about me, but I've no need to: most have been really nice
Come to think of it, I think the trolls wouldn't dare post in those threads

interesting choice of threads.. the threads that indicate a response to the person above (or below!), I try to do that. The timing of multiple posters sometimes messes things.. but we're all ok with that. Arouse Me in 5 Words, however, is a little different for me. I post what is in my mind. I'm not really looking for someone to take it so personally.

I often avoid posting if the questions would cause me to share too much about myself or if the person asking seems to be prying directly into a no-no zone. If the previous poster is jumping every female who adds to the thread, I let it cool down a bit.

" A to Z...words of at least 10 letters (A-gain)" is a good, safe thread, whatever your posting needs.

I like those A B C threads but it seems like there's always someone who decides to forget the alphabet and just post any damn thing. It's posting after one of those that I dislike, mostly because I can never decide if I should skip them, make a statement correcting them, or just pick up from where they arbitrarily decided to put things.

depends on the thread...I usually try to follow the previous poster. The arouse me in 5 words thread isn't, to my way of thinking, a response to the previous poster, although if I do I'll quote. I avoid the "would you....the person below" threads. I don't feel I have anything to contribute there.
