How To Get The Word Counter Into Your Siggie

1. Update Wordcount at NaNo.
2. Visit a Forum, post something, see the Word Counter above your AV next to your post.
3. Hit "Print Screen".
4. Open a graphic program, like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop.
5. Press Ctrl+V.
6. Edit pic of Word Counter to manageable size.
7. Upload to a server, so you can link to it.
8. Edit sigline, place an img-link to your WordCounter-pic.
9. Hug Svenska.

I tried to just pull it from the site, but that didn't work. I ended up having to take a screen shot, load that into Photoshop, then cut the word counter from the screenshot, create a new graphic, paste it onto that, upload it to my webserver then put it in my siggy. It really is much more bother than it's worth. I think I'll just do plain numbers from now on.

I have OWCS (Obsessive Word Count Syndrome) and it's doing my heeeed in.

I type a bit, check the word count, type some more, check the bloody word count again, then do a bit more. You get the picture.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! It goes up by about 40 each time.

Gotta stop being so obsessive and just WRITE!!!!

Ok, I've updated the word counts of those who PM'd me. Check out the first post to see it!

I have made life much simpler for myself this year. The way I've done the table (as oppsed to doing it as an image and taking the screenshot, re-sizing it and uploading it, editing the post, blah de blah), I've done a crude table within the post. All I have to do is simply edit the post. So, if anyone wants to let me know their word count at any time, it's no hassle to change it.

Oh, you poor thing! I HATE it when that happens! It's like, you can never phrase yourself so perfect the second time.

Why do you use an insecure system like a computer for creating a novel, anyway? I stick with ink and paper. Safe unless the cat pees on it. *knocks on wood*

I've got my Word 2000 set to auto-save every 5 minutes mate, lost too much myself in the past, fucking blue screen of death and crashes.

Bit slow today, up to 3823 words now, been a bit busy with real life unfortunately.

I need a little research help if anyone has knowledge on the following matter:

Looking for basic information on "gifted" children and the school they might attend. Age requirements for attending the school? Until what age do the children attend before they venture off to college? I mostly need financial aid info for a very poor family with a very gifted child?

Any help would be tremendous. Thanks.

Hehehehehehe, that's what I've been doing with all my free time the last few days, LOL! I've had it since it came out (pre-ordered it... yes, I'm a sims fantatic), and have played it on and off since then, but the last week, it has really caught my focus. Bad timing!! LOL

When the kids go to bed in another 30 minutes, I am going to pull out the laptop and get comfy in the recliner and try to write and get at least partially caught up.
