The Halloween contest juggernaut known as "Things That Go Hump in the Night" has just taken a major bump. The last time I checked, it had a virtually unsurmountable lead, with 340 votes and and a score of 4.83.
This morning, the Hump has been bumped down to 132 votes and a score of 4.66. Obviously, Laurel has done a serious sweep.
While 4.66 is still a good score, it trails way behind EH contest stories by Cloudy (4.87/38 votes), Dr. Mabeus (4.83/41 votes), The Mutt (4.78/36 votes), and Lucifer Carroll (4.75/51 votes) and is within a few points of ones by other real writers such as Boxlicker, Dranoel, Colleen Thomas, and Oggbashan.
The Presidential election now has nothing on the Literotica Halloween contest.

Death of the Party has been the first of my "stroke" stories I have shown to a non-stroke audience and has been my favorite piece so far that I've written for this site not counting All Hallow's Eve. That alone is worth far more than the contest part of this contest.
P.S. What the Hell did the guy do to lose that many votes? Change accounts and vote like crazy on speed cycle or something?
Boxlicker101 said:You and Inp were both right but I have corrected that now. I still have one more to go, though. I had started to read "All Halow's Eve" but it was too much of a downer so I stopped and didn't vote or leave a PC.

I rest my case. Her face was the embodiment of innocence, yet her sparkling eyes and relaxed body language projected a sexy playfulness that suggested her sweet appearance was but an illusion grander than any the masterful magician David Copperfield could conduct.
Rumple Foreskin said:Glad you guys feel better. IMHO, the main reason no one questioned your scores was the quality of the writing. In comparison, here's one sentence from "Hump".

You done did good. Just one "L" too many. Me, I always make a hash of the spelling. For those interested, here's the link to that reknowned, first-sentence contest site.Boxlicker101 said:That line would be a contender in the Bullwer Lytton contest. I'm not at all sure of the spelling of that neme but I think the writers here know what contest I mean.![]()
