I am wishing you two the best! Hey I hope the last 6 days go quickly. They seem to crawl by when I know I am to see my sweety! Remember the old song by Carly Simon? "Anticipation"!!

Ebony

Hi Ebony! Thanks so much for your good wishes! We have truly been blessed by so many wishes from our Lit friends (and some of my lit friends in NY too!) hic... :D

Anticipation indeed! (Like Oman has said, we've had about 4 months of foreplay!)

We can never know about the days to come
But we think about them anyway.
And I wonder if I'm really with you now
Or just chasing after some finer day.

Anticipation. Anticipation
Is making me late
Is keeping me waiting.

And I tell you how easy it feel to be with you.
And how right your arms feel around me.
But I rehearsed those words just late last night
When I was thinking about how right tonight might be.

Anticipation. Anticipation
Is making me late
Is keeping me waiting.

And tomorrow we might not be together.
I'm no prophet; I don't know nature's ways.
So I'll try and see into your eyes right now.
And stay right here, 'cause these are the good old days.

5 more days!! :D

Does anyone have oxygen I can borrow?:p

Well, it's only Monday, and I'm just too restless to concentrate on much! I'll try and pry myself away from the PC in a bit, but I'm not sure what to handle next.

Let's see. Two of my poems are in the top 10 vote getters today! Thanks to anyone who took the time to vote; hope you enjoyed the read.:rose:

LDR indeed!

It just struck me how apt it was for the situation. I hear it a lot lately on the radio and it always brings tears to my eyes. It reminds me of my sweety so far away, and how tough this year is for us. But it is 1/3 over, so that makes things a bit easier.

I have eleven more days....:D

Seems like forever to me.

 's and :rose: 's to all.

Just two more days and you'll be in the single digits!! (I would wish you a speedy wait, but then I'd be cutting my time with Oman short!);)

Now that it's down to this, I don't feel I have enough time to "get ready"!! (It's playing havoc on my sleep patterns as well!)

It's all worth it though, and I so much appreciate all the interest and support we've received here at Lit.

Yes, Ebonyfire... I find that printing out the lyrics really hit me emotionally as I wasn't as aware at how appropriate the words were otherwise. Thanks again.:rose:

Elementary physics : if the time for two is speeding up (LTR and Tiger) the time for two others (who could they be ?) is slowing down so that the mean time is constant.

Green Acres

(Oman sings)
Green acres is the place for me.
Farm livin' is the life for me.
Land spreadin' out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside.

(Jenny sings)
New York is where I'd rather stay.
I get allergic smelling hay.
I just adore a penthouse view.
Dah-ling I love you but give me Park Avenue.

(Oman sings)
...The chores.

(Jenny sings)
...The stores.

(Oman sings)
...Fresh air.

(Jenny sings)
...Times Square

(Oman sings)
You are my wife.

(Jenny sings)
Good bye, city life.:(

Green Acres we are there.

4 more days!!

:D :p

I wish both of you the best of luck when you meet. I hope your time spent together is as happy as LTR and I have spent together.
Lets all make a toast at 7 PM on Friday Night Feb 15th to every one here on this thread. If any one has another date and time in mind feel free to post. I dont mind toasting more then once.
Good luck all.

Dearest Tiger!

I'm with you: the more "toasts" the better! Right now I'm not sure if we'll actually have other plans for that Friday nite (15th), but possibly a bit later that evening or perhaps some other time on Saturday (although it shouldn't interfere with your time together with LTR!!). Maybe if we start a post early Friday, we can all start and continue toasting as the weekend progresses!!

It's great to share such an exciting time with you and LTR, and with the many other buddies we have here at LIT!

Dearest LB! Thanks for keeping count with us as well!:rose:  :rose:

Sigh

I am waiting for the time my love will arrive. We talk online, send emails, and talk on the phone everyday. My heart is so full but it also aches to have him with me. I am so thankful that I found him but just want to hold him sooooooooo much.

It is all just so strange and amazing. I keep thinking that I am dreaming but then I hear his voice and know just how real it is.

Hat, you're sounding just like Oman and I! As patient as you try to be, and even now, as close as the day approaches, it all leads to the first meeting. LTR and Tiger have shared their experiences with us, and it will truly be a very special moment to have the man you love finally in your arms!

Hearing from so many others involved in an LDR, all the work put into it really is worth it!

Thanks for sharing in our happiness, and I look forward to sharing YOUR countdown and discoveries!:rose:

This is my very first post on this site, and I have recently first met a girl I bumped into online. You didn't mention actual distances, but we live 250 miles from each other. I agree that many things are expensive, but like many people, MSN chat would be the preferred way to go. Before meeting we spent 5 out of 7 nights a week chatting either online or over the phone from dusk till dawn. In the end it became very draining, and my work began to suffer. I don't know if MSN will help, but it would have made our life a lot easier.
Good luck to you.

Welcome to the LDR thread, pasedena (and to LIT!).

Distance can be draining. Oman and I are a time-zone away (he's an hour "early"!); not too bad considering the physical distances between so many other couples.

Oman and I started in chat, then took a few phone calls, then, most fortunately AIM (with the mikes!). A gift money wise, as we would not have been able to afford nearly as many LD phone calls!

As you might gather if you read through a few pages here, Oman is visiting me in NYC in 3 days!!! We've known each other over 4 months now, and this is certainly something we're both thrilled about! Finally meeting will be a blessing!!:)

Tiger... I agree!! Thank goodness for those E-cards!!

JUST STOPPING BY TO TELL YOU JENNY THAT I LOVE YOU.THATS ALL,I LOVE YOU

Join the crowd, My love is in Texas and I am in Connecticut. 250 miles would be a blessing. Good luck to you. We have known each other for at least three years. Hopefully, this is the last year we will be apart.
