LOVE them - never been to New Orleans though but I'd love to go. We have a great outdoor Halloween Parade here in Vegas and years ago I went to the one in Hollywood several times. Such a blast! We also have something here called First Fridays which is an outdoor arts & music fest the first Friday of every month downtown in the Arts District. I usually work Fridays these days but I miss going to those every month.

Long, multi-day road trips (10+hours each day in the car)
