The storms have done quite a bit of damage in the surrounding areas, but thankfully not to anything/anyone dear to me. The guys at work have gotten quite a bit of OT working on outages, but they like the extra money.

And the buzzing has all but stopped.

I'm enjoying an extended long weekend by going thru the kitchen cabinets. Some of the stuff I've found could qualify as a science experiment!

I hope everyone has survived those storms and have sunny skies in the forecast for the long weekend.

*Orville Smith, a store manager for Best Buy in Augusta, Georgia, told police he observed a male customer, later identified as Tyrone Jackson of Augusta, on surveillance cameras putting a laptop computer under his jacket... When confronted the man became irate, knocked down an employee, drew a knife and ran for the door.* *Outside on the sidewalk were four Marines collecting toys for the "Toys for Tots" program. Smith said the Marines stopped the man, but he stabbed one of the Marines, Cpl. Phillip Duggan, in the back; the injury did not appear to be severe.* *After Police and an ambulance arrived at the scene Cpl. Duggan was transported for treatment. The subject was also transported to the local hospital with two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose and a broken jaw... Injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off of the curb after stabbing the Marine.*


Now that was a well written Police report.

Hey you never can tell what kind of treasures you'll find when you dig!

Nothin special this weekend since I'm not able to get out... I don't know if the wife's going to the ARC Easter egg hunt tomorrow (on Saturday cause they don't want to interfere with family functions) like usual since I can't go... She'll probably go out and work in her trailer.
Probably gonna be another quiet weekend at home for me.

It's been quite a week for me. The storms from Wednesday night have left some of the surrounding areas looking like a war zone. Last I heard there were 16 fatalities. A few of my guys at work had a close call, but thankfully are alive and well. Here is a link to a video of some of the damage:

John.....*sigh*.....I will miss finding your posts here at Lynn's place.

I've still got fluid in both ears and the right one is infected. But the medication I'm on seems to be working, thank goodness.

We've got a gorgeous day here in East Tennessee....sunny with a slight nip in the air. My windows are open!

I hope everyone's had a good week and have plans for some fun activities this weekend.
