Maryland is for lovers?

I'm still around :) Had a great weekend with my family..took a ride to Frederick, which is always fun. Stayed home on Sunday and caught up on laundry and cleaning. I'm so exciting!

I did the same Sunday! It may not be exciting, but it feels good to get things done :)

Eh, Alexandria isnt terribly far. Ive been rock climbing out there and occasionally visit some friends. Ill have to look up Port City brewery then, Cheers.

Have you been to Assateague Island in southern MD? Its great, but try to get a site on the ocean side.

Also, there's Prince William Forest off of I-95 just north of Quantico, its not far from Fredricksburg, VA which is a lot of fun.

Lastly, perhaps a bit of a drive for you, but there's a lot of places in Shenendoah

Yes! It's fun to go out and do things, but I also like staying in some times and having a relaxing day! Plus the weather was beautiful! Now it's just plain hot..but I'll take the heat any day over the cold winter!

I'm still around, StarGazer . . . . had hoped my golf joke would have prompted other stories (true or not) of Marylander adventures . . . . In keeping with the country club theme, I trust I'm not the only one on here who's enjoying the warm weather for this reason: it gives me an excuse to hang out poolside and check out the eye candy -- from younger babes to MILFS and even a few GILFs -- in their swim attire!

Everyone doing their laundry, mopping floors or cutting the grass on this Saturday? Are we having fun yet? lol.

I am off to play in a co-ed golf tournament this afternoon and then might head out this evening and drink a few beers and watch the young people mingle, bring back some memories of those fun days.

I've handed my bathroom reno off to the pros, but there is still a lot of clean up to be done. So I spent the day cleaning tile-saw dust out of the garage, and covering everything in plastic to make it easier to clean next week. I would have rather been playing golf. We got some weather down here in PG county. Hope you stayed dry, StarGazer.

Had several storms pass by this afternoon, got a little bit of rain but not enough to stop play. On the third hole there was a clap of thunder that made us all jump but nobody saw the actual lighting. The storm clouds helped to make it cooler so overrated all it was a fun afternoon.

Sounds like the bathroom is getting close to being done. That is good. I am laying a walkway in the backyard and will need to rent a masonry saw to cut some pavers. It does make some dust even with the water.

You must think that's all we do! LOL I'd like to say I was doing something exciting this weekend, but I've actually been cleaning out my basement so that we can make it into a basement family room.

Hope you all are staying cool and hydrated! We had a two storms roll through here yesterday giving us some much-needed rain. Between that and the fireworks, my very "special" rescue dog wasn't in a good place..LOL.

Well it does seem that some get satisfaction in doing their cleaning chores. I also have chores to do but I get no satisfaction from cutting the grass or doing laundry, just stuff I have to do. I do try to mix fun things in though. All work and no play makes for a boring me.

Feels like it is going to be another humid day. Was hoping the storms would cool thing off.
