You might consider having a chat with MrHappy about places to go that are Bike friendly...he also does a fair bit of that sort of thing....and may have some good suggestions for you for other events that you may plan to run like this....

hi, just found this thread.i am in UK these days, but lived in Northcote/Thornbury just outside the City and got all nostalgic.

As sad as it may sound, has anyone got any recent pix of the city skyline and trams?

I'm going to have to take a trip back sometime soon!!

Im 160 Ks east of Melb but will be passing through there on the weekend,
its been a very dry year so far and very mild even hit 22 on Wednesday which is not bad for winter. I dont have any photos of the city but if you check out the tourism Vic web site you will find a stack of pics

welcome to the thread geronimo-i'm in town a fair bit and it's forever changing-the rialto is no longer the tallest building for example. how long is it since u were here?

visited in '94. left properly in '79. Naru House (spelling?) was the tallest building then!! The skyline had changed dramatically between '79 and '94.

well I can pretty well make it to any place you care to name and should be able to make my self available most weekends if given enough notice.

I am organising a meeting of single motorcyclists through another web site, I found it hard to get people to commit till I selected a time and place then sent out a stack of Emails to let everyone know about it, I now have people flying in from the NT and WA as well as a few who plan to ride down from NSW.

it might be easier to take the same approch here and PM any victorians we think might be interested
