we'll forgive you-we know what sydneysiders dont-that melbourne is a far better place! welcome to the thread

Yeah it is a far better place. Ive spent plenty of time in Sydney and I cant stand the place. Sure it may just have something to do with the 'Melbourne v Sydney' rivalry however none the less I cant get used to smelly buses roaming the city streets!

And what's with this two streets fits all attitude anyways? Melbourne is layed out properly..... Sydney is simply a mess.

Oh, and if any sydney-siders were to find themselves lost and stumble across this thread I present you with the following image in an attempt to halt your pointless rebuttal.

anyone here from country vic

Hey, Jimbo... there are a couple of country Vic people who hang out around here but they don't put their noses into this thread all that often. Nostress hails from down the Valley and Mr Happy from Central Vic.... and there are others who lurk a bit....

You never know who you will flush out of the woodwork if you raise your profile in here and in the Aussies thread.... :D

I went and saw melbourne thrash Sinny at the telstradome last Saturday so Melbin must be better!!!!!! 3-2 IS a thrashing!!!!

I have lived in both cities and both are great. trams are melbournes absolute worst feature though....sooner they are gone the better.....IMO of course!

I was up there last year-i called it the cold coast. honestly i've never been to a wetter more miserable place in my life-and coming from a native melbournian thats saying something! Of the 12 days we were up there we saw sunshine 4 times-and 2 of those times we had to drive up to the sunshine coast to get it! The other 2 times were the day before we left and the day we left. we also saw torrential rain, flash flooding and alot of wet queenslanders. One very early morning (about 6 am) the staff of were we were staying knocked on the door asking us to get our car out of the car park because the car bark was flooding. I had a look and my car was in over 4 inches of water! And this car park is under the motel. I didn't move my car-the water was deeper on the street. Horrible place, I'm in no hurry to go back

I'm hearing ya Batty! Last July we went up to Palm Cove near Cairns - 14 days and it rained on the last 8. But fortunately we had the best of weather this time. Did ya go on the theme parks??

yeah-i'm not really a theme park person but we went to all of them at least twice. Went up to Australia zoo as well-one of the fine days. That was worth it-i would have gone back for another day there. did you do the twilight tour of dreamworld? that was great!
