no ......... water YET. The water people are on vacation, this is their only week of the year they take off, figures.

I'd have thought that, for public health reasons, if for no other, there would/should/must be somebody available all day, every day.

My son is a water utility mapping surveyor, (specialising in drains and sewers), so he HAS to be on call - just in case.

Hope you all had a great week and looking forward to a relaxing weekend..
of course, to me the day of the week makes no diff as I work everyday, until I go on vacation... and then I am free to goof.. lol..
Dipping into the lemonade and then waiting for momma's Irish cream laced coffee to takeaway.. and continue working... I leave lots of hugs and kisses to the ladies of the kitchen..

Well Bug it's pouring rain here so won't be out doing too much
I took that test and didn't do as good as you lol

It's a good day for indoor activities.....if you had someone to do them with:devil:

I'll just goof off today I guess:confused:

Well, I didnt understand that either. We finally got electricity yesterday and we turned on the water. See we had our final inspection but technically, THEY had to flip the switch and when we did, we found out there was a problem. No hot water, the heater isnt even filling up so yet another call to them and they will be out Monday. This is such a long process. We just paid our final rent on our apt and have til the 26 to clean it for inspection. Thats a whole other issue that Im too angry to get in to. But we bought curtains and new bedding yesterday, hung up pictures etc, its slowly but surely coming along.
My grand daughter took her first steps last night and they sent me a video. I miss her so much! That's the hard part about moving away.
My oldest son and his gf got to hear their babys heartbeat yesterday for the first time. I miss them all so much, cant wait for my wedding, for the obvious but to see them. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

I have miniature pink wild roses growing in the back yard, they seem to bring birds around.

Mrs Z and I bought a rose bush last year, named "Ruby Wedding", to celebrate (guess what!); it's now blooming very nicely, with a really deep red bloom. Not surprising, really

Joke For The Day

A gas station owner in Mississippi was trying to increase his sales.
So he put up a sign that read, 'Free Sex with Fill-Up.'
Soon a local redneck pulled in , filled his tank and asked for his free sex.
The owner told him to pick a number from 1 to 10. If he guessed correctly he'd get his free sex.
The redneck guessed 8, and the proprietor said, 'You were close. The number was 7. Sorry. No sex this time.'
A week later, the same redneck, along with a buddy, Bubba, pulled in for another fill-up. Again he asked for his free sex.
The proprietor again asked him to pick a number from 1 to 10. If he guessed correctly he would get his free sex.
The redneck guessed 2 this time. The proprietor said, 'Sorry, it was 3. You were close, but no free sex this time.'
As they were driving away, the redneck said to his buddy, 'I think that game is rigged and he doesn't really give away free sex.' Bubba replied, 'No, it ain't rigged. My wife won twice last week.'

Mobile homes AKA "house trailers" are easy to work on since all the plumbing is exposed. Should be an easy fix for your man instead of waiting around for someone else to fix it.
If the power was turned on before the water I can just about assure you that the heating element in the hot water heater was busted.
You must have water in the hot water heater before the power is turned on, or at least have it unplugged until it fills with water.
Many have a safety valve under the house trailer to turn the water off and on.
You probably should have waited for them to flip the switch.

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go

To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far

To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star

<Sigh.>
