Nodding. There are some things we are just never satisfied with. And in our locals, the weather is definitely one of them.

Now, living in California; I remember I was on a business trip in the LA area. I was watching the evening news, and there was no real "weather" segment. I mean I'm used to seeing one that lasts almost as long as the sports' segment. When I mentioned that to a friend there I was told unless there is something happening there isn't much point to it. It is pretty much the same all the time.

LOL I suppose that is true...in our part of the country there is a lot of weather and of course the weather channel...got my errands done for the day....still pretty hot and humid...lunch time

I didn't go anywhere yet today. I have a voice lesson at 3:30 pm so I will be leaving in a bit. It is hot and humid. Not looking forward to heading out. Oh well. It will be a very short drive. My car is in the garage right now but I will be parked outside when I get there. When I get back to my car it will be a scorcher I'm sure. It is a very short drive and the AC won't have had much of any affect.

Hope you are feeling ok now that you are home.

I did all my errands this morn...and my air is out in my van so doesn't make much difference...it can't be fixed but I don't drive very far here in town
Since they did some adjusting when I went to s.falls been doing good except for the hemoglobin...can't keep it up...

LoL I made coffee..today i just can't get enuf..i've had 4 cups today already..i'm done now i think..i washed a load of towels and now i'm just hangin online..i can't get over how relaxed i am..work was really stressing me..

It's cooler here too actually, lastnight there were some storms, bad ones maybe but not around here..the skies were like a yellow-gold then turned greenish black..it rained for a little bit and then stopped..people on my facebook were all talking about it..it stayed that way for awhile too..a friend of mine said "creepy sky"..kinda was.

Well I just had a little something to eat...not very hungry but like my ice cream in the evening LOL... I have no idea what's up with Bug maybe super busy with work or the lady Prbly read tonite and try to find something on the tv...mine is acting weird ...sometimes I have these white lines across the bottom half...hate to get a new one..

OMG that's terrible I hadn't heard about that it's prbly on the internet will have to check it out...Well the lines aren't there all te time but enough to irrate me..the only way I will get one is if I find a place that will come and hook it up and take my old one which is still the big old tv...I just got up from my 2 hr nap...mostly cleaned and didn't go anywhere today...but did do my nails in a new polish called lollipop!! I like it...
Yes where are the parents of these kids at that time of the nite

Was just lurking around the thread and decided to throw my 0.02 in...

When I was 10 there was a local festival at which I would stay late into the summer nights when it was going on... I was responsible enough to go around with my friends and we never got into much trouble at all.. So it CAN be done. Buuuut... You have to know your area and the quality of people who live in it.

It makes me sad that kids won't be able to enjoy things like that anymore for fear of riots and terrorist and God knows what else.

And I am assuming that was prbly several years ago before things got so far out of hand....I'm so glad I raised my kids when things were pretty normal but I have a lot of great grandkids now that will be growing up in this age and it scares me When I was a kid living in a small town you could go and do anything without worrying!!!

Yeah, I suppose it was pre-9/11 but not by much! I'm quite young yaknow.


Still, it scares me how all of the little kids I work around were born long after 9/11. It brings tears to my eyes to know that they'll never get to know the world how it was when I was their age. (Granted I was a kid in the 90's, but even since that time the world has experienced more than one paradigm shift)

And who knows where some of the parents were. I don't always blame the parents..unless it states what the parent was doing/where the parent was. Some of these idiots were +18 & over. The know right from wrong, and how they grow up and what decesions they make..are entirely thier own. It's sad though, because now..an entire race is being "crucified" for the actions of these ignorant individuals. I have bi-racial cousins, and alot of friends of color that are good people and are sick to thier stomachs over what happened.
I'm in a suburb of Milwaukee..so whatever unfolds, won't be near me. I see alot of hate crimes in the future..

Not everyone is responsible. My parents let me stay out late with friends and go places and have fun. I'm 37..i was in HS in the 90's.**** times, i always told them where i was, who i was with, when i'd be home..Like we all agree on, things were different. These days..Ignorance is at an all time high. You can't go anywhere to have fun..It's sad.

Indeed. So many kids without proper guidance.
My dad said since they think they're bad ass, and wanna pick on people & beat people, make the 18 & older join the Marines and send them to Afghanistan to fight with people who aren't afraid to fight back..See how tough they are then when the terrorists come at them with AK47's and are trying to blow thier heads off.

I'm going to the fair with a friend and her family on monday to see that comedian jeff dunham..i just hope it's without incident.
