name my dildo!

If your website includes the name "Stella" maybe you can give the individual dildoes names like Betelgeuse of Sirius or other well known stars.
Well-known stars?
That could be fun, but I could get in trouble don't you think- suppose Natalie Portman doesn't want a dildo named after her? :p
I could use vintage stars, though-
The "Bogey"
the "Marilyn"
nahhh. seems like it's been done to death...

Seriously, using the names of real stars is a good idea because they don't have easily identifiable genders- some of them, anyway!

I have to say that I love "Louisville Pluggers", but I don't think I'm average.

After that, "Shivery Timbers" seems like a good brand name, as does "One Good Turn", though that last isn't very specific. I mean, my Dad does wood turning, but he makes little wooden birdhouse ornaments and that name would be just as good for his cottage industry. :) I suspect a demonstration of your lathe technique at his monthly wood-turning group would turn the whole thing on its head!

Apart from that, those are really nice, Stella!

[edit to add] did anyone suggest "Turned-On Wood"? That's a combination of several other suggestions.

Someone gave me a broken Louisville baseball bat, one time. I made him a baseball out of the end, and turned two dildos out of the rest of it :)
I recall, that both of the pieces went to somewhat... agressive women!

(edited to say)
I have a problem with "Shivery Timbers" because it sounds just enough like "Splintery" and we don't allow no splinters here! :D

 How about, Mmmmaple and oooOak or failing that mode of choosing, Poplar Passion, Elysian Elms, Sycamore Sex....

some things are best left nameless.

See, here is where I would recommend some focus groups. :D

I think the 'shiver-me-timbers' association is a stronger and more common reaction, despite the close sound-alike with 'splintery'. Plus, there's the whole 'Talk Like a Pirate' thing which is still funny, though it may have limited lifetime. There's still the possibility of piggybacking somewhat on the upcoming 'Pirates of the Carribean' sequel too. Borrowing some Johnny Depp vibe for a dildo business strikes me as a shrewd move - not that I'm attracted like that, I'm just speaking as an observer.

You're right, the Louisville Plugger does have some aggressive overtones. That's probably your 'size queen' line - similar to the core product, but for the woman (?) who likes to swing a bigger bat. :D

it's okay, you can be attracted to Johnny Depp- almost everyone is :cathappy:
"Shiver Me Timbers" is a great title for an internet page, and I anticipate the sales will mostly come from the internet... and I'll write it in pirate speak. as I'm fine an' fluent in it me laddie :)
"Wood You?" is going on a page too. I'm pretty sure!

My biggest products have sold to Leathermen, at "International Mr Leather" convention in Chicago :catroar: We're talking fourteen inches long...

that sounds good too..how are you SJ?

The store is now up!

Dendrophil is now open for veiwing, please give me your comments! And add me to your links page, anyone that can!

I am able to take your money and send you wood in exchange. :D

I'm still adding stuff. There are still more individuals to take piccies of, and describe and price.
I need to write about the lore of diloes, and show all the color themes... arrgh. It's catalogue writing, it's intimidating.
And, if you gots a testimonial, I wants it, please!

Thus far, English Lady and Joey who both suggested "Wood You"
I also love "Shiver My Timbers" and am using it for a headline. And I've named them after gods and godesses, and stars...
