NaNoWriMo 2005 - Join, write, be a novelist!

Chris - not a fan of the'nana eh? you're welcome for the welcome *grins* and i think it takes 30 posts to become experienced ;)

I want it now!

I've thought of some brilliant little bits of characterisation and I want to write these people out of my head!

The Earl

I'm with you Earl, I just want to get it underway. I got a story eating away at me and I want to get the words down on paper before they slip away. Sure I've got some notes to work from, but the way I write I daren't plan too far ahead. Things just happen, and everything changes.

Ah well, how many days have we got left now Svensflicka? Please tell me we start tomorrow!

Chris :)

We didn't scare you away!! Yippee!

:nana:

Fraid so Cloudy. Have I got this wrong, or do you have a Native American heredity? Please tell me more. Genuinely interested.

I think Chris is a 'lurker' - he knew to say Svenskaflika and not the 'S***' word.

Patience Chris - you will soon wish November had 60 days.

Chris

Yep, Choctaw. :D

and cybele has designated me the "expert" on native americans over at the NaNo board.

What would you like to know?

Yeah, that's a good point actually.

Chris: A word of warning - when shortening Svenskaflicka's name, use Svenska. Don't try and go any shorter than that; Sven means 'Guy' in Swedish and she really doesn't like it.

Not even in jest.

My public service for the day.

The Earl

Svenskaflicka

I don't think the lady and I have yet been formally introduced, I was merely being polite, but thanks for the warning.
I might still be the eternal virgin, but I'm beginning to feel at home here. Hope this childlike display of innocence is not to be shattered too soon.
Time I headed for bed, getting on for 02.00 here in the North of England, and time for us virgins to be fast asleep. Do we have a party when I eventually lose that tag?

Many thanks to all for making me so welcome, special mentions to Og, The Earl and an English Lady. Personally I feel the likelihood of me remaining a virgin until I've made 100 posts is somewhat remote, taking into account the range of attractive women on this thread.
And if that b****y banana over there doesn't sit still, he's going to find himself inserted somewhere very painful very soon.
Be happy,
Chris

Hiya Chris!

Just one thing... methinks the 'nana would enjoy it. :p

Welcome to the dual madness that is LitWridoNaNoWriMo (Literotica writers do NaNoWriMo :D ).

Have fun and enjoy the ride!

Lou

P.S. :nana:

Hey, Lou,

haven't got my act together yet for NaNo, but I'm going again! Too busy revising for an OU English grammar exam on the 19th, but I thought I'd pop in.

Chris, whereabouts in the North of England? I'm on Tyneside.

Ciao, all, back to my books . . .

The other Alex

Hi Alex

In the hills 'twixt Shipley and Ilkley. A mere hamlet, Baildon by name, but handy for it's proximity to rail, road and minor International airport.

Would really rather live in France, but I guess that'll have to wait for the 'five figure' publishing deal that's on the horizon. Not saying which horzon though.

Best wishes '

Eye by gum, Chris

A few of us Litizens were up that way at turn o' year. Grassington if memory serves. You're in good company, 'fifty', the voluptuous 'Just-Legal' and 'Gauche' are within are in spitting distance of Baildon, not to mention 'Alex' and 'Patrick'.

Good boy! Yes you are! *pats Chris on head*

17 days to NaNo!

Hey there, Lou Lou - you're a gorgeous as ever.

Cloudy, I'd like to compare some notes from the west coast (Chumash) vs. the Mississippi region (Choctaw) in terms of legends and names if you're willing - to trade info that is.

For those of you chomping at the bit, it's perfectly legal to do characterization notes and plot notes while waiting for the starting signal.

Of course....ask away. PM or here, either way is fine

I know what I'm writing about, but I haven't written a flipping thing as far as plot or character notes. I tend to do better when I just wing it. We shall see. I failed miserably last year, so I'm 1-1 since I completed NaNo successfully in 2003.
