NC needs creative Help

Honstly Nite I'm asking you the questions as quickly as they come to mind, if I had this liste of twenty questions I would have already posted it. Some of the things I'll ask probably aren't even that important I just get curious when I'm trying to get into it.

Honeslty I think the reason we don't see a lot of female main villians is the same reason we don't see a lot of female leads. Ultimately they are difficult for the audiance (males say 12-30) to get behind. We can boast all we want about loving strong female leads and OCCASIONALLY this is true, but really we love eye candy. There is a reason why Lara Croft has a larger fanbase than Samus Aran despite being in existance less than half of the same time. There are a myriad of other sexist reasons why female leads tend to draw less. Course to be fair this seems to be leaning more towards Batman where you could argue that Joker is king because the fans chose him not because the authors didn't give Catwoman or Ivy a fair shake.

1. Who was the first Homo Sapiete? (this is only important if it's relevant as in he's a historical figure.

2. What is the general public opinion of HS's?

3. What is the official government stance on HS's

4. Are there any major hate groups?

5. Are there any major defense groups (ACLU)?

okay, sorry about the pressure..

I agree about the female chars, remember i dis earn money writing comics lol. Eventually it will be up to the fans who the arch nemesis is...

Answers...

1. Who was the first Homo Sapiete? (this is only important if it's relevant as in he's a historical figure. --- Nobody Knows...though the first ever team was the Super Group in 1958...

2. What is the general public opinion of HS's? --- Fear and Awe

3. What is the official government stance on HS's --- Activitiy Allowance is based on local law enforcement opinion. (Basically its up the cities)

4. Are there any major hate groups? Yes....But i havent come up with names...

5. Are there any major defense groups (ACLU)? Undecided, possibly one or two

I was eying your map, and it looks fairly small, so a question in my mind is why are villains in this particular city in the first place?

(On a side note, given that the cities get to decide there HS policy it could be said Darwin City is laxed in its policy to the HS and that caused some migration of them into the city.)

A second thought is could there be an inadequate facility for holding Machines, Mutants, and Mobsters near by and that is why the villains are here in the first place? Perhaps the Big shot and friends pull strings to get these kinds into the local prison and then manage to get them out.

Lol, the city is supposed to be very very big, i just can't draw lol.

To be completely honest I presume that the villians are there simply becuase they are, I hadn't thought about such things, and as far as i know, the answers i gave in my last post could change the more i think about them lol.

Thanks for the input lol.

I apologize if I seemed snappy, I was just saying that I didn't have any new questions at the moment.

Honestly I think the villians are there because they are there is a sufficient answer. We just need to make sure that there are a few side references to so and so out of such and such. It's like the DC universe. You know there are villians in Metropolice and Gotham not because of any particular reason (though you'd think some would leave Metropolis and go to a place with weaker heros) but because those are the only "real" places. Once we discover a new city (i.e. a new comic is debuted) we find out that there are villians every fucking where, they aren't drawn to heros, if anything heros are drawn to them but the fact is that they are just enhanced criminals and there are criminals in every city in the world.

Ok I'm not sure what needs fleshing out at thsi point. So what do we have, what do we need, are you ready to start thinking out story arcs?

Also the map as you put it sucks. LoL.

Okay.... I'll go over everything and post what i've decided...hell i may have a few Questions to ask for a change....

Ok, cus I know we're still mising things, I'm hitting blanks as far as the elementals, which means its time to start flinging spaghetti at the wall until something sticks. Time honored tradition (least for me) So I'm just gonna fling stuff around, it isn't meant to work in its present sense it's just meant to be something that maybe somebody else will see and be able to extrapolate something useful from.

Fire and Ice paired, perhaps even twins, of course complimentry uniforms and a fighting style that is based entirely around the two of them having a twin bond that lets them sync with each other particularly well. Think Dee Dee from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. This might work even better for Fire and Lightning.

Fire as hulking brute who's powers stem from a suit of armor designed for use in battling forest fires by getting into situations that would be deadly for humans and cutting fire lines. It's of course immune to fire, filters air (come up with some device to explain why he can breathe in fires *not that this is generally a problem for comic book charachters*)

Lightning a young boy whose body absorbs kenetic energy and processes the energy into electricty. However this power is involuntary and he has to wear insulated clothing to keep from hurting everybody around him.

Fire as a dog (s), or some other beast that was experimented on. Instead of being a traditional villian think of this more as force of nature. They have a ravenous need to feed (being on fire has high metabolic needs) they are carniverous and fucking on fire, they don't need to be inteligently hunting down humans the fact that they eat people, dogs, cats, pizzas combined with the fact that the building will light on fire makes them sufficient. Like super zombies!

A similar thing could be done for the Brute, I'm seeing a prototype armor that simply seeks out energy sources to continue it's existance.

Note * all this was just flung spaghetti, if nothing comes of it so be it.

ONE -- THE KNIGHT AND THE DISCIPLE

EIGHT -- DETECTIVE LONG
His brother still missing, Nate goes to his father's partner, Brandon Long, for Help. Acts as a Flashback story where Crowe's background is explained.

Introduces Liz Black, whom has a new friend...Havoc...who activates her powers and pits her against Crowe.

Don't know who to use in the undecided slots, want to save Shaper, Brody, Wolf-Burn for second volume, along with my other storline ideas... hopefully the second volume will have a running story Arc... I have also decided that one of the other Heroes of that time will be part of the second arc, albiet briefly.

Not sure if i've forgotten anything, so i'll leave it open....

Any Comments // Questions // Ideas for undecided Stories...

Note....

I was thinking Wolf-Burn is the fire character elemental one lol.

I like the twin idea...perhaps Water and Electricity.

I'm also toying with the idea of a Villian who can become Gaseous at will...

But i do like the idea of the Hulking brute in the firefighting armour...

Oh, and you can suggest ideas for the story arc of volume two (I have a vague idea, but can be persuaded otherwise)

Also keep suggesting villians...lol...Or even story plots for the undecided stories...even if they have new villians lol.

One shot die at the end villains!

Any how I like the fire and ice twins, since cold is the lack of energy and heat is the presence of energy how about keeping it a balancing act, ice must go first and fire must quickly fallow. And perhaps fire can use a power and ice is forced to use one as well. The two could be each others worse enemy and at the same time greatest asset.

Short story would be ice is a villain and drags fire into the act against his/her will at the first or second meeting ice becomes hurt. This is when things switch, ice confronted peacefully decides to stand down while fire refuses to be hurt again and becomes the aggressor. Given that when one uses the power the other is forced to do so as well, the unwilling party would likely let loose area bursts of the power while the power starter would let out aimed blasts.

Light hearted

Feed back on the current story. I don't like the placement of the blanks, honestly something should be there other wise its like a void in the story.

So filler episodes.
4: Nate eats soup for dinner, it contains carrots, he avoids eating them
5:Nate showers, after dropping soap is happy to not be in prison.
6: Nate goes to sleep, he dreams about Dino-Riders still being on the air. Youngstar finally gets a date with Sahrinah hilarity ensues.

Haha

I do like the fire ice story but i don't like it enuf unfortunalty...

As for the fillers...

Heeeheee

Eh, I am rarely out of flung spaghetti mode, (probably because of my Italian heritage,) so my feelings won't be hurt.

As for Light hearted ideas...

Somewhere, somehow, you need a moment where KC crashes through a window or some other stupendous entrance... Only to find himself at a comicbook convention! And actually get comments like "Dude, that costume is SOOOOO lame! Can I take my picture with you?"

*Snickering*

Hey Crowe, what did you think of Liz Black not really being Beth sister, but the physical manifestation of her own personal worst fears? Could that be a good reveal for vol two?

Good I'm liking what I'm seeing.

If 7 is going to HAVOC as evil I think in chapters 4 and 6 you should introduce him. 4 showing HAVOC in a Danger Room type capacity, and 6 maybe showing some kind of inovation that Nite didn't predict. Not a full build but a hint.

I was thinking similar to Sean about HAVOC. He should be there before he seems to be a villain.

I like the idea Raven, although I saw it more of her sisters fear being more of a hateful sister then a completely fictitious sister.

As a side note it occurs to me we can take Beths self inflicted worse fear and make it into one of the fillers. This could be anything from the sudden appearance of Liz (if she is in fact a manifestation,) to Liz becoming hurt and possibly falling for Knight during the rescue, to a completely separate thing like fear of a drunk father or snakes. Mind you Beth and Liz already have a larger then average amount of face time.

If we are saving Brody for season two I think that maybe should have the second season have a vaguely relgious theme with Deciple and Brody getting a lot of face time there. Wolf-Burn (name sucks) fits that theme sorta. Was he born of my spageghettie flinging?

I think 5 should include Excalibur as probably a star but not vs Nite, instead vs some third party one shotter, somebody we can kill off. Then draw him back in during 10 or 11 for will ultimately be a team up with Nite or we could pit him against Nite in some game that HAVOC has engineered.

Its not my call in the least, but I personally think fifth comic is way to soon for a team up, the time is better spent building the main character some more.

Perhaps a much lower team up would be better. I am thinking Hostage situation involving the sniper character. (Sorry I am bad with names.) Perhaps this would be a good time to explore Knights view on death with the police sniper finally ending the hostage problem with lethal force. (The sniper seems more of a support character then Excalibur, in my mind.)

I was watching some chat box and suddenly the air elemental popped into my head.

S/he should be toxic. This gives a simple offensive ability and allows the character to be stealthy. Perhaps S/he is even corrosive that way Knight can't simply have a gas mask. Also this power would make it very easy for hostage situations compared to a normal villain.

Hmm, all good points...

I did Intend to Feature Havoc in the early stories lol.

Yeah I was thinking that Brody would be the main villian of volume two, and that the story arc would be trying to catch the 3 serial killers when in fact their is only one lol.

I intended for Lupinoid and Shaper to appear in a one off in volume two, where Havoc (not as dead as we think), releases them from the Government facility...

I like the Idea of having Excalibur as a filler for one of volume one stories, I was going to use him as if he'd being hired to assasinate someone... Possibly hired by Treymayne to kill someone higher up?

I prefer the idea of the blacks being sisters lol, and I intend to use both briefly but frequently in the first volume...Beth being Nate or Malc's girlfriend, and with Liz in one, breifly being saved by KC.

Twiddles thumbs....

Everyone okay?

Anyone got any ideas for what needs to be filled? Any one off storylines? No? Okay....

:p

To be honest I got nothing at the moment I went into spaghetti mode for a moment to see if anybody could use any of that and got that out of my system so at this point I sorta need a direction, I'm still around but I think it's pretty much time for you to get to work on a first draft of the first chapter.
