NC needs creative Help

Just do me a favor as number two. While I'm more than happy to start working on a second project lets pick one to be the main focus and put MORE work into that one. (and if this works I might need some help with a few ideas of my own.) But we should focus.

It doesn't matter which one we choose so long as it is chosen, also I have AIM not MSN sorry, but I'm working on my car right now anyway and just jaunting back and forth cus I know I've kinda got you on right now and hopeing to get some progress but Instant Messaging would be rather rude at the moment.

There is a reasonable peace of free ware I use called Trillian.

What Trillian does is log in to AIM or MSN or some other and then uses that screen name to chat with people on other pieces of chat ware. As long as you have the address and the program the address is in it works fine. I only use Trill now and with my AIM address I can talk to friends on 4 different programs.

Only one of you needs to down load it to talk to the other, but I actually recommend it for this kind of situation.

Over all I'm not hating the current situation.

Has anybody got an idea for a speedster? I'm thinking we need something that but no name is coming to mind.

I'm thinking a villian (based loosely off a charachter from the old Spiderman cartoon) and give him/her (lening more towards her at the moment) electromagnetic roller skates. On any surface it grands him super speed, but he can also ride rails which allows him to "skate" up the sides of buildings by riding their metal supports. His speed is limited (technically) by how quickly he can react, which I think might be a unique weakness early on. Basically he always over adjusts because he's moving based on what he expects you to do. But he's really fast and that alone makes him fun plus dealng with the magnetics.

While I remember, heres a bit of history for the world in the comic which i've being wanting to use for years...

1958 - Homo Sapiete's begin to appear around the world, mainly as villians, along with costumed villians.
1959 - A meteorite strikes the earth, and from it appears an amesiac humanoid alien with the heart of a star. Many try to manipulate this being for criminal uses, until he is saved by a group fo heroes. This event results in the formation of the SuperGroup.
1973 - An alien race known as the Lunos attempt to invade and conquer earth. They are Led by the Tryannous Medaspat.
1974 - After a year of war, Medaspat is finally stopped by the Super Group, and the Lunos forces are decimated....this results in a secret pact between the two races. Unfortunatly In Medaspat's final breath he impaled The Human Star, causing him to implode, destroying not only Medaspat, but fully half of the supergroup. The Super Group go there seperate ways and the world for the most part forgets them and the golden age that had surrounded their presence.

Animator - A man with the ability to animate objects. (Died)
Velocity I - A superspeedster who gains his speed from his suit. (Old)
Dopple - An animated clay statue. (Became a deanimated statue)
The Human Star - An alien with the heart of a star.
Lady Wolf - A werewolf type hero. (Died)

The Velocity i mentioned in the previous post is the original velocity's grandson.

The group Hero story i was thinking off, could start off with the return of The Human Star who has gone insane....The reawakening of Dopple, who helps found a new team which manages to stop the crazed human star and freeze him permenantly.

Anyway, this will all be posted in the new thread when someone starts it lol.

Fair enuf, i can live with that....we can combine our ideas though....this velocity is the criminal grandson of the original and he uses his powers in the way you just said.

Actually combining them makes sense, the increased metabolism really has more to do with his reaction time than anything else, that without the belt he can only safely go say 120 because any faster than that and he just can't process the information quickly enough to react to it, then give the belt some kind of draw back (ideally that is how it killed his grandfather, perhaps the increased metabolism also accelerates aging so his Grandfather died of old age at like forty five.

Have you considered maybe writing the war as a story?

As for writing it, I have considered it lol, it's an idea i cam up with 5 years ago, and i would like to write it, either as a normal novel or a graphic novel lol.


h well, either way it comes down to having an artist or not...which atm is something i don't have, so i may write it as a novel.

I'm sure we can aquire an artist, it's not like they don't exist. I just think focusing entirely on the war might be a great story.

While I want to focus on Crowe for now I would say we should write out the stories and then work on finding an artist, if the material is quality I'm sure we can just email every single web comic guy until we get a response. Heck just putting up a couple calls for an artist here on Lit would probably get you some kind of response.

Don't worry my mind works the same way jumping from one project to another to another and meanwhile rarely finishing either of them. I recognize the signs of a wandering mind because honestly that's all mine ever does so I'll do my best to keep us focused. Like I said I'm more than happy to start brainstorming ideas on a second idea in a second thread, I just want to keep Nite steadily progressing towards something as much as possible which at this point means getting outlines for all the chapters set up and seeing what we can do.

OKAY, here is the final story list for volume one, as well as the plans as they are written....

#1 -- THE KNIGHT AND THE DISCIPLE

Starts off with a radio report of several artifacts being stolen from exibits in cities around the world. Reveal that the audiance is a pair of securit guards in a museum, which is holding an aincient gods exhibit. It shows a two gaurds sitting behind a desk on of them drinking a cup of coffee. Brief conversation on how easy the job is and one decides to do a lap just to make sure everything is secure. The other laughs as if anything would be wrong claiming the security system handles everything. Guard D walks up to a sceptre, and then changing into Disciple.

A voice suddenly speaks to him from behind. He turns and is faced by KC, who reveals that he had though this would happen and had being carefully watching the museum. Impressed, Disciple begins to rant and attack KC and as he attacks he changes form several times into various dieties, while ranting about his being the vessel of the Gods.

Suddenly he vanishes, though his voice can still be heard, which confuses KC, who is not completely used to the suit at that point. Disciple stops fighting here not because he's loosing but because KC is an unworthy opponent (in his over inflated opinion of himself)

Security Guard B arrives at this point and sees KC in the display area and KC mistakes him for D, and gets ready to attack him when he notices a black cat trotting past the guard. Knowing a cat would never be in a museum he changes his attention. the cat turns into disciple and holds the man hostage. KC tries to tranquilise Disciple but misses, instead accidently hitting the guard. Disciple pushes the guard into KC and vanishes in the ensuing confusion.

Back at home Malc, watch's the sceptre via camera, while KC searches the building to no avail. Malc suddenly comes up with a plan, and without telling KC, asks havoc to run a simulation. (at this point Havoc is merely a computer program). KC is also frustrated because he's not sure he CAN beat somebody with the ability to shape shift.

As KC still looks and Havoc Tests, KC suggests that he has a feeling about something, and gets Malc to check it out. Sure enuf, they work out that Disciple wasn't after the sceptre, he really wanted the Manacle of Hades, and going for the sceptre was his way of testing out the security...he had heard about the new vigilante in town. (you don't find this explanation out till the end) You also discover that the Manacle is part of a pair that is supposed to grant the user the power to raise and control the dead.

Havoc manages to predict what D's next target will be and KC stakes it out, sure enough D arrives at whatever location the two of them fight. (the other Manacle is privatly owned by a local millionaire) During the fight Malc tells KC to use the Taser that he has built into KC gauntlets.

The fight soon moves to the kitchen, where D accidently breaks a gas tube when throwing the gas cooker at KC. KC, not realising this then tasers D. The House...which was thankfully empty, blows up. KC is protected by his armour, and D is presumed dead.

Brandon Long and several other police men pouring through the supposed death site with KC watching from overhead, there is a brief moment where Long looks up and spies KC...they nod slightly at each other, before KC flies off.

Ends with a Cat climbing out of the rubble.

#2 -- DR. TAUNT

Starts with KC breaking into a drug bust, leading into a firefight. Unfortunatly his suit's battery gets hit with a lucky shot and powers down the suit as he was flying at the time he falls and is injured during the fall (twisted ankle), and can't escape when a large weapon is shot at him...His armour protects the blast but he is still thrown by the explosion and dislocates his shoulder. He manages to escape by climbing into a nearby car (belonging to one of the mobsters),and after turning the keys that are left in the ignition, drives himself to the local park, where he then ditches the park and goes through the park and to the house of Dr Angus Taunt, who helps reluctantly afer KC basically blackmails him. Taunt works out who's behind the mask.

FLASHBACK -- Shows taunt's history, and how after Nate Crowe discovered he was an addict, he lost his job and medical liscence.

Back in present time - Taunt helps Crowe, and offers him an temporary power source. (A Car Battery). After a awkward moment talking, where taunt thanks KC for helping him stop him being an addict (by making him lose his liscence), and tells him to come back if KC needs help again. KC then goes to the park and takes out the mobsters one by one, ala batman begins style.

Ends with the one thug escaping and going to trymayne who reveals that KC maybe useful in helping him remove the higher members of the mob and thus elavating to higher status.

#3 -- NIGHTMARES

Starts with Nate meeting a Beth for a drink. He has too rush off as Malc informs him of a KC urgency, leaving Beth to walk home on her own. She does so, and decides to take a shortcut down an alley, but some men try to mug her. They knock her to the ground and suddenly find themselves up against their worst nightmares, resulting in both running to their car and crashing it.

The Next morning, Malc is readin the Paper, and tells him of the people who crashed their car after they were chased by their nightmares. Nate laughs it off and heads off to meet Beth for breakfast as an apology for the previous night. Malc however thinks theres more to it, and gets Havoc to check out the records for homo sapietes with that kind of power.

Nate and Beth meanwhile meet up, and Nate asks how she got a cut on her face. She replies that she fell, after some men came after her, and reassures Nate that nothing was stolen.

Nate begins to feel over protective of Beth and walks over to her house that night, while on his rounds as KC. He notices the back door is open and enters thinking someon has broken in. In the house he finds himself suddenly assaulted by nightmares (Clowns) and falls over. The nightmares suddenly ends as Beth and Her sister appear and He quickly leaves without being seen, as Beth tells Liz to ring the police.

The Next Morning Nate tells Malc what happened, and Malc informs him that it has happened a few times, even to the point of one person dying.

Back at Beth's, her aunt is rushed to hospital after she is hurt by her nightmare (Earthquakes), and Beth realises what is going on, and upset and scared, trieds to turn to Nate for Help. Nate unfortunatly is trying to get a lead on this nightmare thing and ignores her call. Upset, she decides to end her life, before more people get hurt.

Nate realises that all the incidents have occurred near to wherever Beth has being, just as Malc works out the same, but instead having found it out through the fact that the only other known Homo Sapiete with that power was Beth's grandfather, and offers Nate a Power negating ring to give her. Nate suddenly gets a text message (which is Beth's suicide note) and realising his stupidity, don's the KC suit and runs off.

At the Make Out Cliff, Beth, who is surrounded by Nightmares now, jumps off after her nightmares push her, and KC suddenly swoops through and catches her. Back on the cliff he gives her the ring, and says sorry, and reveals his identity to her.

#4 -- THE LONG RUN

Starts with a news report about Brandon Long's good running with stopping the mob. Shows the audience to be a group of men at a table (All in shadows). They debate on what to do, before one says that Long must be eliminated. Treymayne suddenly leans forward into the light and says he knows the perfect people for the job.

Flicks to a Motel room, with princess and Butcher in. The Phone rings and Princess answers, and after a moment, tells butcher to leave the deer, they have a job to do.

Not sure what happens after that, but it's basically going to be Those Two going after Long in a blood bath at the police station (i think) and KC stopping them.

Quick run down on Butcher and Princess – two of my oldest and to be honest favourite ever villians.

Butcher – Tall and Muscular, think Bane. Wears a pig mask. Very very brutal and hands on. Dumb, listen's to his big sister.

Princess – Tall and slender, a real manipulater. She's the brains. Wears expensive and fashionable clothing. Uses a pair of handguns as her weapons of choice.

#5 – VANISHING ACT
The Police, with KC's Help have managed to capture Treymayne's second. With this in mind, Treymayne's superiors make treymayne put out a bounty on his head, thus attracting the Magician Icarus Bizarus, who intends to make the villian disappear.

#6 -- HAVOC
Malcolm's training program for Nate takes on a life of it's own. Ends with Havoc kidnapping Malcolm.

#7 -- DETECTIVE LONG
His brother still missing, Nate goes to his father's partner, Brandon Long, for Help. Acts as a Flashback story where Crowe's background is explained.

#8 -- THE TESTING
The Concluding part of this short story arc. Crowe discovers where his brother is being kept and goes to save him.

#9 -- TOO MANY CROOKS
Against Treymayne's Wishes, his superiors hire 3 assasins to deal with KC. Enter Excalibur, Eye-Q & Mr. Washington. Ends with excalibur sparing KC's life because he saved him.

#10 -- GOVERNMENT INTEREST
Someone is stealing tech, and the government has proof that it's Crowe, and send Colonel Myror (pronounced Mirror) after him. Turns out it's Disciple making a doomsday weapon.

#11 -- THE SISTER
Introduces Liz Black, whom has a new friend...Havoc...who activates her powers and pits her against Crowe

I gotta ditto her, don't hold so much back for season two, I think we should move Blaize into the first season and maybe Wolfburn. I deally out of the first twelve there should only maybe two fillers, I think we should merge the Dr. Taunt and Nite Crow Origins into a single story if possible.

Invented a device that lets him speed up or slow down time, around 50% without being harmful, can go further, but causes either damage to himself or others around him.

VOX

Malcolm from the future, so skilled with computers that he can pull off nearly magical effects with them. Or alternatively, a program Malc writes in the future and then 'uploaded' himself into so that he will always be around to oppose HAVOC.
Virtual Operations eXterminator.

I have one last idea, but am very fond of it myself, as I have used it once before. It could be repurposed so that the character idea is the reason that Homo Sapiete's began appearing. A man who stimulates the genes that cause mutation with his touch. Basically Rogue in reverse. Instead of stealing powers, he activates and enhances them. But enhancing too much would kill HIM.

As for Blaize, i think i may use her....what i posted was 100% and extremely open to change....for example I may add the odd filler story, as the majority of the vol 1 stories resolve around Havoc and Treymayne...You may also have noticed that i havent put in a story tht ends the mob arc lol.

Vox - Sorry but no, it goes against what i secretly have planned for Malc (vol 4/5ish) but you never know, nothing may come of it, and thus i may use Vox instead.

and unfortunatly i do not like the idea of Nate having such a power...though it would be useful for the mob to have such a character....create an army of temporarily superpowered mobsters to take over the city...hmmmmmm

Here the first full draft of episode 4... I intend to have also done episodes 5 to 8 by later as well. Only becuase i got the day off work.

FOUR -- THE LONG RUN

Starts with a news report about Brandon Long's good running with stopping the mob. Shows the audience to be a group of men at a table (All in shadows). They debate on what to do, before one says that Long must be eliminated. Treymayne suddenly leans forward into the light and says he knows the perfect people for the job.

Flicks to a Motel room, with princess and Butcher in. The Phone rings and Princess answers, and after a moment, tells butcher to leave the deer, they have a job to do.

Flick to 2 days later. Brandon has just finished his shift, and makes his way home. He opens his door, and falls backwards as his dog leaps on him, before running down the street. Tired, Brandon goes after him, and 30 seconds later the house explodes. The first attempt has failed. 2 figures are watching from afar. A phone call gives them permission to do whatever is necessary.

The Next night: Brandon has decided not to leave the police precint. KC is also on guard, with Malc watching through traffic camera's around the building for any sign of trouble. He watches as a Car drives past, and a Missile launcher is shot through the window into the precint.

KC Jumps too and goes after the car, which is speeding away. Meanwhile Butcher and Princess enter the precint and begin their hunt of Brandon Long, killing everyone they see, after the power is cut. They are accompanied by their gang.

KC finally catches the car and and sees 2 low level thugs inside. Just then Malc tells him of the power outage and KC realises that the car was a diversion to distract him. He flies off back to the station, after asking Malc for reinforcements.

Mean while the cops have sprung their trap, and FBI agents flood the precint in order to out manouvre the assasins.Long is ordered to flee to the helicopter on the building roof and escape.

As he escapes, the men around him are slowly killed by the pair, while the gang occupies the feds. The Pair finally catch Brandon, but realise that he was a decoy as Long and the local SWAT appear around them.

But then the final twist occurs, and the SWAT, whom were almost all being paid by the mob, turn on Brandon. Suddenly KC bursts in and takes them out with the help of Malc and Havoc's New toy; DRONE. Butcher and Princess escape down a corridor but suddenly find themselves being attacked by their own nightmares. Beth has also arrived with Malc to help and temporarily removed her inhibition ring. KC surprises and KO's the pair.

Flicks to Long stood at the balcony of a hotel sipping a drink, and thinking about KC. Ends with him entering the room, and then shows KC stood on the roof, silent and watchful, a true guardian.
