I have been invited to devirginize of five new players.

They've never played D&D before...
They don't know how to min/max or munchin....
They haven't read the monster manual...
They have already played D20 Star Wars, so I don't have to explain every step of the way...

But most of all, they have this happy glow about them... They believe they're going to have a mythical romp through a world filled with elves, fairies, and dragons. I've never DMed anything for them before.

They know nothing of the dark place they tread now. There will be elves, fairies, and dragons... But there will also be Drow, traps, and creatures so full of malice they eat Sith swords for breakfast.

Arg, anybody know how I can get the latest version of Libc6 installed in Ubuntu? The version that I have evidently does not work with libdvdcss2, which is what I need to play DVDs on my computer.

Hey nerds! Giving my laptop to my mom for Christmas, and so I now find myself shopping for a new PC. Looking at a Dell XPS 7somethingorother, not a bad deal by the looks of it, but I'm trying to pick a monitor. Mainly, I want a good, affordable monitor that I'd be able to hook an XBox 360 up to in the future. Flatscreen is prefered, but not required, though I have to admit to never having heard of a CRT monitor with non-VGA hookups available.

Aside from that, weee, on leave for the next two weeks.

I got the duty for a while. A group of grown adults gather at each update. And now that it's being powered by Google Earth, it's worth it. Especially the "Santa Cam" spots........
