New Adventure, New Thread (M)

Petrichor

A gentle drizzle is falling outside the window tonight, a welcome change from the drenching storms of the past few weeks.

As I walked my hairy little princess after a long day, I could smell the lush, dense fragrance of the newly re-soaked soil and grass around us.

It is late but quiet.

I wanted to showcase the view I have from all too seldom-used rooftop deck and tried to capture the soft rain.

Hopefully I succeeded.
(Just in case I did not, there's a pop of blue in one of the buildings to distract every one.

You're a bit distracting but the views are fantastic!!

Thank you my dear!

It is quite a compliment to hear that I can distract someone from the beauty and prestige of Chicago's skyline.

Ever since I was a boy, this seems has seemed magical, to crackle with an electricity and vivacity like few other places I have been.

Perhaps that is why I always have such a hard time getting to sleep on a Saturday night.

Stargazing bare chested? Yes, please.

Sadly there is so much light pollution that it is quite hard to see the stars.

However, I am sure that if you joined me we could find other fun things to go with our chests bared to the night air

Vulnerability

Like many of the people here, I flirt with others and sometimes share photos or participate in the themed pic thread.

When it comes to discussions I share many views and show several sides of myself.

But there is one side that I am ever reluctant the reveal.

Some very kind people have told me that I have nothing to worry about when I share a non frontal view.

Perhaps I just have a hang up about being a hairy, flabby man so I see the thing I fear the most in the mirror.

Maybe I am just fine for a 45 year old man.

Considering that the only naked males I ever see are professional actors or porn stars, it could be that my perception of what is healthy, what is sexy, what is normal is skewed by such things.

So here I am on a damp, chilly, foggy night in mid June, doing my best to embrace my vulnerability and confront my fear of showing off my backside.

You have a fine backside, Cthulhu. So fine that I’d suggest leaving the natural sexiness of your ass uncovered but the damp and the chill might not be the best thing to expose it to.

Man fur is hot!! Personally, I don't like all the manscaping that's done today, be yourself, it's beautiful!

Thank you so much ladies for your words of encouragement!

It never hurts to get good feedback.

I truly appreciate it

Honoring a request of sorts,

Here is a post-workout photo, revealing a bit more of what I think is my least photogenic side.

After a long jog, it's nice to have that endorphin high (which may be affecting my judgement right now).

You have a beautiful view... and the chest was rather distracting. Lovely backside as well. :)

Thank you very much for the kind words!

Glad that you enjoy the different views on offer. I like to think that there is a little something for all the lovely ladies of Lit on my thread.

You don't have a least photogenic side, just so you know!

My dear, supportive talikat, your check for keeping my thread going is in the mail.

I will keep your kind words in mind next time I come across a 'post your rump' thread.

Perspective and temperature

The rain and the fog have been relentless the past week, sapping people's interest in venturing out and about on a boat, or outside in general.

The damp, cold weather has been grinding me down for a while. I try to see the beauty in adversity, to be glad for the fecundity that comes from the constant rain.

Even so, I'm eager and happy for the feel of the warm sun on my skin and the way it brightens everything.

When both those things happen in the span of twelve hours, it can be quite the journey.

For anyone growing weary of goofy pics, dirty photos soon to come

A beautiful rose.. I'll gladly step up and accept it on behalf of the ladies of lit. Their tongues or fingers are too stunned to type so I'll be brave and break my lurker status.

May I make a humble photo request? It's actually not provocative in any way...

Thank you for your kind words and bold choice to comment my dear flower. A rose for a rose is fair trade.

What is your request?

What is your request?

You're welcome, great one of the deep.

A piece of paper with a few of your thoughts written out...
Your hand holding a pen or pencil poised to continue writing...

The answer to any reasonable request should always be 'yes'

I hope that this suffices to honor your request. I don't know that I have many deep thoughts these days and I certainly spend much less time writing than I once did.

However, anyone who does not enjoy pangrams is not for me.
Every time I buy a new pen, that is the first thing that I write.

The second bit was some thoughts I had after listening to a song that too closely mirrored a recent experience and left me feeling like I had been punched in the gut.

:rose: Time may not allow for much writing, but the few minutes you stole for this were well worth it. Thank you, sweetie.
