New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani

Often because the host country refuses to naturalize them. They end up living in multi-generational refugee camps.

So there needs to be international pressure on Muslim states to accept more refugees. The Gulf States are certainly prosperous enough.

Um, yeah, Trump is the ultimate trust fund baby / nepo-baby who constantly failed upward thanks to a rigged / corrupt system.

Mamdani is just the poor man’s Trump who had a fairly privileged upbringing with obvious advantages that helped him get elected.

Mamdani is the middle-class-Muslim-socialist version of wealthy-Christian-capitalist Trump (Trump is obviously orders of magnitude worse in every way - so far).

😑

Side note:

I am NOT a big fan of either of them due to their similarities: Politically, they both are frauds / charlatans who make bullshit promises, imho, and neither is worthy of / qualified for the positions they hold
(Trump is obviously orders of magnitude worse than Mamdani - so far).

I see what you're doing here.
You're attempting to conflate Mamdani with Trump.
It's not working.

I am NOT “attempting” anything.
I elucidated some objective (and fairly uncontroversial) facts and my objective opinion based on those facts.

I was bornin New York, grew up there. I am worried for the city. This guy will be a disaster.

Well before the next mayoral election NYC will have less crime, more prosperity, less homelessness, and cheaper and more efficient public services.

Israel resettled the Jewish refugees who were kicked out of other countries in the Middle East over the last 80 years. They didn’t even take money from the UN to do it. Why are the Palestinian Arabs so special?
Because Israel WANTED those Jewish refugess, that was the only reason for its existence.

Why do the other Arabs hate the ones who live in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria so much? You’d think basic humanity would prompt them to throw them a life line …

Qatar has no problem hosting the leaders of Hamas, but why do they turn their backs on the common people?

No, just the opposite. We've seen this movie before.
We've seen over and over that's what happens in NYC under lefty leadership, and the opposite with RW leadership. Wasn't LaGuardia pretty near as lefty as Mamdani?

i wonder how much meltdowns the trump right wingers had alrighty since there archenemy and rival zohen became mayor of new york city

More so than other mayors.

Look at the difference between the Giulian administration and the DeBlasio administration. I'd much rather live in Giuliani's city than DeBlasio's. And Mamdani is to the left of DeBlasio.

I've never heard of any comparison there that is advantageous to Giuliani.

Then you don't live in reality. Crime was down, the city was thriving, it was cleaner. Things are good. The opposite was true under DeBlasio.

But it was not until after Rudy Giuliani was elected in 1993 that the cops were effectively deployed.

Putting into practice the theory of “Broken Windows,” the mayor and top cop Bill Bratton proved that addressing signs of vandalism and disorder would help prevent more serious crimes.

With commanders held responsible for every crime on their turf, the turnaround was miraculous.

Serious-crime reports plunged and the number of murders fell by two-thirds over Giuliani’s first term alone.

The Moslems have spent decades trying to exterminate the Jews of the Middle East. On October 6, they had Gaza completely Judenrein. Think about that, a place where Jews had lived for thousands of years had been "cleansed" by the efforts of the Muslim nations surrounding Israel and the many terrorist organizations.

But that wasn't enough, was it?

Yes yes, the IDF admitted in a confidential memo that their pogrom resulted in 83% of the 63,000 casualties in Gaza last year were Gazan civilians, but Israel is the "real victim" here, right?
Hamas built quite a network of tunnels. If they used none of them to shelter civilians, who is to blame for all those civilian casualties?

This is simply ridiculous. Your President inherits a real-estate fortune and pretends to speak for the "common man" (the common man he screws over with tariffs and health insurance cuts etc.) The mayor of your largest city comes from the middle class and he's slagged as a "trust-fund baby" or "nepo-baby"!

Can't say I have such high hopes for Mamdani, with the rent freezes and all. But then, Sadiq Khan got re-elected here, so you never know.

Anyway, complaining that someone from the middle class has some sort of "privilege" that gives him "obvious advantages" is just silly. I mean, he's a Moslem in a city containing the largest Jewish community in the world! I'm sure that cancels out any electoral "advantage" he might have from being from the middle class.

Characterizing him as a fraud or charlatan is silly too. He may have plans that aren't feasible, but he's been forthright about them.

I have zero hopes for Mamdani. And Sadiq Khan just changed his tune on protecting “The Green Belt”, so…

Mamdani’s privileged upbringing and advantages are in comparison to the people he claims to be a part of / the champion of (the working poor, etc). And Mamdani’s mother was a celebrated film maker, while his father was a noted academic - which are unique advantages, so…

Also: Only 12% of New York City’s population is Jewish, so…

😑

I consider making pie-in-the-sky promises to be fraudulent and the act of a charlatan (See: Trump’s “tariffs will solve everything” and “We’re gonna build a big beautiful wall. And Mexico will pay for it” and “We’re going to repeal and replace Obamacare with something much cheaper & better” and “etc, etc, etc, etc,” so…
