Israel's lack of concern for civilian casualties is to blame for the sheer volume of civilian casualties.

The tunnels were built to shelter from Israeli airstrikes.

No amount of tunnels would have prevented the massive number of innocent children dying from lack of food or medical attention.

There's a difference between being poor and being someone who is working to make a better city for the poor to live in. If you demand that anyone who is working for a better city has to BE poor to be authentic, then you're just being silly. (And polls estimate about a third of the Jewish voters voted for him)

Totally bogus argument. Hamas uses ambulances to transport weapons, builds command posts under schools, fires rockets from mosques, keeps their troops surrounded by civilians. They're as responsible for Moslem civilian casualties as they are for the Jewish civilians they kill. They encourage both kinds of killings, the killings of Jews to inspire fear and civilian Muslim deaths so that they can beg for sympathy for their cause (which according to their charter is the extermination of Israel). At least the SS let German civilians take refuge in bomb shelters!
