evening everyone...sounds like once again, I missed all the fun.

Morning all,
I haven't been around because I've been traveling a lot in the last month, but am now ensconced in NJ for a while. Good to see new faces dropping by, and Wow! We blasted past the 3,000 post mark in a flash while I was away. Who said NJ was a dull place?
Just a few check ins before I have to go see what madness awaits at work after being away...
Fire -- Ditto to everyone who admires your new AV. Very sensual without, you know, being too over the top.
GG -- Love that new drawing in your sig area too.
CT -- Bull Durham has got to be one of the best and most quotable movies of all time. The only other movie in my recent memory perhaps more quotable for great, funny but true adult (meaning mature) lines is Broadcast News. I actually found an audio file of that Crash Davis monologue online once and sent it to someone who quoted it almost verbatim to me.
GG -- Do the college thing. Don't even think twice about the cost, the sacrifice, or having to have financial assistance from any quarter to get it done. I had a little (a little) help from my parents to go to college, but worked a lot, and then paid for grad school all on my own. I worked full time and went to school full time and it was insane, but worth it. I swear that every two weeks I was eating a can of the cheap Campbell's soup for dinner and rolling my coins to have the money to get to work and get my pay check on Friday. It was literally 24/7 for 2 years of work and studying, and it also took years (too many) to pay off the loans, and I din't even work in a highly compensated field, but the night I finished was one of the best nights of my life. I really felt like I'd done something, and now, even on the worst days, I can get up in the morning and think, "Well, at least I never have to go to school again." I also don't have to look back and wish I had done it, but never worked up the nerve. That's what got me off my ass in the first place. After 2 years of toying with the idea I had this flash forward 10 or 20 years and realized that one day I would be 40 or 50 and looking back and thinking, "I should have done it." You seem to have a huge reserve of energy and ambition for the things you're passionate about, so just go for it and don't look back. Not that you asked, but I just thought I'd put my 2 cents in as encouragement.

Thanks for the encouragement Jersey...I'm gonna do it...I think for now I'm gonna do online courses...if after a semester I decide I wanna do school full time, I will and fuck work...actually..after today..I may tell them to fuck off anyway. I'm capable of finding a job that will work around my schedule...I've just been spoiled up until now in my job.
Just remind me how much I want this in a year when I'm whining that I have no money/no time. I did find out last night that I'm 31, not 19. Was busily reminding an ex (As in last time we "dated" we were 19) of that fact all night...it hit me this morning when I had to get up for work how true that statement was.
