NRJ's All New and Improved Den of Music & Madness

Hahaha dig it! I think I vaguely remember this one actually.
Yeah I actually discovered her during her brief solo career after this band broke up and moved backward, but I dig a number of their singles

When I was still running regularly, this was always placed towards the end of the playlist. Good finisher.

One last song I was reminded of before I stop hogging your thread. In general I’m not super interested in city wars. But when it comes to punk music I’m a bit of a homer (no disrespect to the DC scene at all). Anyway Brody Dalle could get it. Not that she’d have the slightest interest in doing so 🤣

Nice! And dude, no worries about hogging. Post all ya want. It's an open door policy. 🤟😎❤️

Well don’t mind if I do. A Verizon outrage killing my Spotify access yesterday prompted a dive into my iTunes library and reminded me of some old cuts I ain’t listened to in a minute . Like this jam that feels very appropriate to this locale

Apparently I need to ask my Mom to log in for me.

So if you don’t mind I’m going to use this thread instead of dedicate a song because I like y’all better over here.

Anyway, besides the very obvious reasons to pay attention to @Tigobitties98 there was something about her screen name that was percolating around in my subconscious like a partially remembered memory. And thanks to Verizon I recalled Morningwood which made me reflect this song off an album I was really into for a hot minute back in the day

Also, it’s sorta funny to me that like, very few of the women in this video are the women she’s singing about. But I guess filming dance classes in L.A. (and maybe Ny?). This is what you get.

The Squeeze! I actually saw them live opening for Hall and Oates a year or two ago. Good stuff.

I'm in Galveston for a couple days. Going to an Edgar Allan Poe fest today. Then possibly getting ink, time permitting. Love you fine folks. 🤟😎❤️

Lou Reed made an Edgar Alan Poe concept album in the mid-2000s. It's a very unique listening experience. I guess depending on how you feel about Lou Reed. He's like the Bleu cheese of music. Not for everybody but the people that love it LOVE IT. (And I love it)

A). Still waiting on this report
B) got a good 90’a queue going on Spotify today. This ain’t my favorite band but I like a number of songs including this one, and one of my favorite album titles of all time.

Oh yeah!
A) It was decent. A lot smaller than I thought it was going to be (there was maybe 40 people) but there were regional authors there and a film panel that was kind of neat. All in all it was fun.
B) Nice!

Low standards make life way more enjoyable I say!

But yeah it’s always just cool to hang out with folks who love whatever it is they love. Theres a super cool Horror fest out here that has some of the coolest artists I’ve ever seen.

This was a contender for today’s music challenge. I texted my daughter saying I forget how much good stuff Trent did after Downward Spiral , how no one does pouty man baby better then he does, and how he seems to have grown out of the more obviously misogynistic vibes Pretty Hate machine has.

She replied, he hasn’t grown he’s just gotten gayer.

In case you were wondering if my issues are genetic/infectious.

Yeah, later NIN is really interesting and cool. I played the heck out of The Fragile. And Trent's score work with Atticus Ross has always been consistent and a great listen.
