Angel was a beauty, Falk, such expressive eyes! so do you have any more cats?
Now about that pussy purring thing, I guess the relaxing part comes about
after the purring effect has subsided *heh heh* but you know it's a
different strokes for different folks kinda thingie ;) aaaand if my memory serves me well,
I think you were in a spot like this earlier http://www.wtv-zone.com/Blulady/GIFS/8/88/catbirdhouse.gif

Actually, Angel was my Mom's cat, and she has about 6 or 7 now. Right now I don't have any pussies......sigh

As to relaxing, I meant that the person doing the petting is sometimes relaxed, though petting a pussy seems to have the opposite effect on me.

Based on your picture, it looks like you're suggesting I'm going to be eaten by a pussy?

And that's exactly what I meant, Falk, but then, maybe we aren't
talking about the same pussy or the petting of it :D
you really ought not to be without a pussy..... what, me suggest??
anyhoooo, the reference was something on one word thread, about being
"in the catbird seat" or something like that

I'm too confused to know what kind of pussy I'm talking about petting now. I just like making them purr.

I know what the reference was, though I really prefered my idea of being eaten by a pussy......sigh

Yes, you're right, I do need pussy.......

Well Hello Scribe!!!

And a cheery Good Morning to you, too!

No I don't think Tabby requires a picture, just gracing us with your presence is fine! Hope to see you more on this thread! :D

Morning MizTbby~

In the mornings slow shine climb
Looking for that witty kitty freind of mine
To wrap a tender hearted hug around
not to fret if she's not found
she's probably petting a pussy or two
that is what she likes to do
Brings a large smile to my face
as I wave to her in her place..

morning C~

Got back from the vet today

My Siamese cat is 14 human years old.

She has a large growth on both sides of her throat and it has her not eating for 2 days so I brought her to the vet and he gave her a antibiotic needle as well as a needle to reduce swelling in the glands.

He told me the chances of her having hyperthyroidism is 20% and cancer is 80%.

Then he told me he could put her in a final sleeping state or call him back on Monday and see if she is eating yet, I think she is in pain when she moves around, I ca'nt kill the cat if the vet wants to put her into a final sleep but I ca'nt leave her in pain.

Why do I always adopt cats, they have a way of pulling me in with there paws and then they take my heart...............

This is not fair:(

Helloooo and welcome SecretScribe :) :cathappy:
of course you don't need to put up a picture, but if you do have a kitty, we'd like
to hear about her or him, if not, then just make yourself at home,
dust the litter off and enjoy everybody else's pussy :D

I think you're a feline fancier toooo http://webclipart.miningco.com/library/clip/acat15.gif

skyace I am so sorry that your cat isn't well, believe me I know just
how hard it is for you to see her hurting and not being able to make that kind of decision :(
Nobody wants to put away a dear pet, but I think you have to consider what's best for her,
even if the vet can ease her pain, you don't want her to have prolonged suffering,
BUT if there is a chance she will recover, if the vet can treat the gland prob, surgery maybe? then
make her as comfy as possible, but she is geting on in age, I don't know how that will affect her possibility of improving, just know that in the end, if nothing can make her better, then you will have to do what's best for her.
And never stop adopting a cat, ALL of you reading here, they do need homes and caring owners,
even though they pull at our heartstrings, it's such a joy to have their company and do a good deed at the same time.
Let us know how she's doing sky

Dear Sky
I can't believe it, how, what happened to Hercules?
It's just too much to bear, losing your cherished kitty,
and I am so very sorry and I feel deeply for you.
Just a couple of weeks ago we were all enjoying the little furry sweetie,
and feeling so good about how safe
and happy he looked in your arms,
although never knowing him, I miss him :( he left his prints on my heart too......

please don't feel too sad, come talk about him http://img.123greetings.com/thumbs/pet_lossofpet/1021-013-03-1071.gif

Thank you MizTabby

MizTabby ...

What a comfort it is to be with you here and now, even in this way, and with others ... feeling comfort in sharing sadness too.

Bless you MizTabby.

The photo brought tears to my eyes - bittersweet tears and I'm glad for it even in my sadness at the moment.

The photo was taken about 1 1/2 years ago. We've had the blessing of having Hercules and his mom and grandma all together in our home.

Such joy has come from seeing them all together. As he grew his frisky nature was at first a bit much for stoic grandma but she quickly regained her joy of play and frolics in his games and roughhouseing.

And such sweet tenderness he brought to our home - so often seen literally hugging mom and grandma - quick to wash their faces sometime even to the point of leaving them a bit dripping but surely they cherished his love as they would embrace him and wash him with their tongues and with love.

We let all our cats go outdoors often and they always come back. Hercules has been gone now for over a day.

Ahhhh ... the bitter sweetness of tears and memories.

Know MizTabby how much I truly appreciate you and all the joy that you bring to so many who pass this way.

Your loving presence here is a gift that flows out beyond this thread. And I'm blessed to receive your words and to know you.

Sky,

I would not give up on Hercules so quickly. Male Tom Cats tend to roam for sometimes weeks at a time. Even if he has been neutered. Maybe just maybe he will show up unexpectantly and surprise you. I surely hope so. Twinkie used to do the same thing.... *sigh* I pray he comes home soon.

Vixy ...

Thank you for your thoughs and prayers.

I hadn't posted again, being the midst of work and sadness. My wife and I searched, finding his stilled body in a moment grief, cushioned, mercifully, by his being intact, at the side of the road. Obviously some heartfull person had come upon the scene and set him to the side.

Yes there's a sadness in the loss of a cherished family pet, as I know you know all too well Vixy.

Hercules' mom and grandma have been cuddling close and gently grooming eachother most of the day, something that's unusual for the two of them. There's such a sweetness in seeing them this way - that's the sweetness Hercules brought into our lives everyday.

Thanks again Vixy, your words and thoughts are a gift, an uplifting gift.
